Tang Mo is a small peaceful village by an old canal in the countryside. Hardly touched by mass tourism and tour bus groups it is the perfect spot to see how old rural china was (and still is). The village is reached through an ancient county road along the canal (pond, pavillions, a 'wedding' tree) and has a very picturesque... More

Tangmo is not up on Huangshan Mountain, it is a pretty little village in the foothills not far from the arched entrance of the mountain. I had seen this area depicted in paintings by Chinese artists and on some docmentaries but still wasn't prepared for the absolute beauty of the place. Travelled along an 11,000ft long cable car journey which took about 10 minutes to reach the area we were visiting. There are lots of walks all I might add up and down lots of... More

There are many hotels and restaurant, there including one called Zhongrui Haiyi which I stayed - has cheap, clean, well furnished room and good restaurant. Surrounding area is very interesting with a nice river flowing thro the village. It is near the mountain gate entrance where the bus terminal (5 minute walk across the river bridge) to catch bus to... More
