A great ride into the volcanoes and ice. Wrap up warm and be prepared to have your breath taken away!

A must see if you are staying in the Atacama Desert. The landscape is incredible and the colours fantastic.

Arriving at the Salar de Tara is one of the most beautiful views of Atacama. It is a long trip but it is worth it. The only problem is that walking around is not permitted anymore. You have to stay close to the guard house. A shame in such a beautiful place, but necessary for the animals to bread...

My wife and I loved this day out..make no mistake it's a full day. We went with Cosmo Andino, and a very pleasant day it was indeed the scenery is spectacular, the rock formations are memorable, the flamingos should you see any at the lake were a bonus, had a long range look at the ALMA site , managed a... We had been to the geysers the day before, so had lower expectations for this tour. It is a two hour trek from St. Pedro, but definitely worth it. We had a private tour with Cielo Norte and our guides Nicole and Marco were fantastic. All along the way they pointed out interesting things. The scenery, and the scale of... More

It is a bit far from San Pedro, the closest town. But geological formations and endemic wildlife is fabulous. Must plan a full day for this activity.

I did this tour with Desert Adventure and had an amazing time. The views are stunning. The volcanic Rocks against the clear blue atacama sky is a sight to behold. A lake bordered by crystals of rocks with flamingo's and their shadows is something you can look at forever. The tour includes a lunch with the view of the lake.

This was a more expensive tour. It was really nice, with beautiful scenery. However for the price, it didn't blow us away as much as we would have hoped. However as we went in april, we were not in flamingo season, and i believe the time of year can contribute to the experience. I don't regret going.
