It's close to Dan Pedro and if you have a car, easy to drive to. The sunset and the colours of the desert are magical.

One of the most spectacular tours I have done on my trip to Chile. The views are awesome, and you will get some great pictures. Every company organices a tour to the valley in the afternoon, and you will roughly do the same with every company. Do not miss this awesome experience.

We were picked up promptly. The landscape is incredible- beautiful multi coloured depending on the lighting. We walked up, down and around and sat for beautiful sunset views. We were part of a friendly and happy tour group. Hardly any English was spoken but that's part of the charm of the experience.

Even going ins the morning the sun is so bright that you should protect yourself as much as you can. The views are impressive and keeps changing as we walk. We can see the "Three Marys", the Amphitheatre and many others nameless structures made by the nature along the time. It is suggested as the first excursion to be made... More

Our kids LOVED the Caverns hike - it is just the right length and if you are a kid you can climb everywhere!... They thought it was a hoot, feeling their way through without any light (we used the light on our phone). We also climbed the Great Dune to watch the sunset... it is a good idea to take... More

Great spot and spectacular views. Noiseless place with rocks and salt. I´ve made it by bicycle and I totally recommend.

Maybe the most spectacular view I have ever seen! Just go there, it takes five minutes to walk up the hillside and you'll see all the colors of the sun during sunset.

I had a guide here explaining everything e.g. that the white surface covering is a brittle mineral called "evaporite" and not salt. The info the guide gave was what I found most interesting but the scenery itself is only semi-spectacular (have I just coined a new word?!). Positives: -> Close to San Pedro de Atacama and so it's cheap to... More
