Please DO take this tour if you visit San Pedro. I've done it 3 times already and would do it again. Make sure the tour operator you choose doesn't offer many stops. It would be better if you stay longer at the lagoons and salar than visit the towns. More

They are two lakes to be visited, it is worth! Try to hire a tour that leaves at about 8:30 a.m. and lunch is included in Socaire. More

Althouhjt this is a long journey, it is well worth it once you arrive. It's hard to describe how beautiful the lagoons are. The water is so blue and clear against the backdrop of the mountains. Our best pictures in our while trip to San Pedro were taken here. The local ladies working at the site are also friendly and... More

The altiplanic lagoons usually are part of an exercusion, where you'll probably visit salar de atacama and also the lagoons. I'd like better the salar with flamingos than the lagoons. It's a long journey by car to reach the lagoons and although they're beautiful, I was there in winter and it was so windy and cold that we couldn't enjoy... More

You go really up, roun 4400m height. When you reach Meñiques and Miscanti lagoons you may geel is difficult to breath. No it's not (only) the altitude. It's the overall view you get. Blue lagoons, some animals and wonderfull view of volcanoes. Breathtaking! It takes about hour and a half by car from San Pedro de Atacama, and there a... More
