Some of my best pictures of Atacama

Very windy there but the place is stunning. Some of my best shots were taken at this place. Traveled with Mauricio from Quelindochile.com

Beautiful lagoons abound, take a few days so you can see a few. We saw vicuña on the edge of one lagoon - breathtaking! We have also seen guanaco and llama.

There are many high plateau lagoons to be seen. Drive up hiway 27 towards Paso de Jama and you will pass several such lagoons. Each one is different from the others. Another option is to visit the Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde or Lago Colorado in Bolivia. This is definitely worth the trip. Just don't stop after seeing the first one... More

Being at this altitude each step and each breathe was heightened in enjoyment and mindfulness. The beauty was astounding as were the shades of color and shadows as each part of the landscape transformed before our very eyes.

We went on our own in a rental car (a small Toyota). We felt we did not need 4x4. We used the Chiletur "Norte" guide sold at larger Copec gas stations as our guide (in Spanish, purchased in Santiago). The lagoons are beautiful and otherworldly. We saw vicuñas and zorros on the way to the park. We saved this trip... More

Wen on tour with Ruja Verde to this location, as part of a three day adventure. Fantastic scenery, great flocks of flamingos and well worth the visit. Just make sure you have take your altitude tablets.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful, stunning. Great landscape. Wear warm clothes as the lagoons are ina very high altitude and the weather is much cooler than in San Pedro.
