A nice place to visit on the famous street 2.5. Take your time and if you don't buy art, find a way to support them... Drinks and gifts available,.

Artists breathe life into art and create community. If you want to discover contempory Cambodian art this is a perfect place to start. A community run art centre - alive.

Mix of okay contemporary art from local and overseas artists. Needs some more thought put into curation and perhaps more explanation from the gallery.

If you appreciate art then visit, see and experience for your self! Cambodia has beautiful artistic work to offer, wonderful vibrant artists despite the long impending doom and gloom that the Country has been emerging from.

After reading the previous review by Nabilkannan, I felt I should write again about one of my favorite places in Battambang... yes the space is small but there are a lot more than 10 artworks on display as mentioned by the last reviewer! Sammaki is an Artist lead initiative and is the only gallery in Cambodia that is completely run... More

Considering that Battambang is the Art city of Cambodia, this gallery houses a very limited amount of art from local artists. While the exhibits change frequently, the small area for exhibits limits the number of pieces to below 10. The staff there speaks reasonably good English and was very friendly.

Sammaki is Battambangs first and only professional Art gallery and studio space. It's situated in a lovely old colonial house (#87, street 2.5) and is filled with wonderful paintings and sculptures from local artists. I come in every day to use the free internet and hang out with the artists who run the place who are very interesting to talk... More
