A very interesting old town which is built on a hill. Make sure you take good footwear for the cobbled streets towards the top.

We visited Nessebar on a cruiseship in August and organised a private tour with Hristina Nedelcheva for our group of ten. Hristina was excellent; she is a licensed English speaking guide, and has a passion for her country and her job as a tour guide. In the morning we crossed the causeway in a private coach to visit Burgas and... More

Cute little old town, lots of little cobbled side streets filled with shops and trinkets. Lots of restaurants to eat at with a black sea view which was beautiful.

A 3,000 old town in Bulgaria, now a popular tourist spot for Russians. Many churches here, most prominent being St. Stephen's now a museum full of murals. I came here on a Black Sea cruise with Oceania. $3.00 fee to take photos.

Easy to be reached from sunny beach.Cost about 1,30 leva, this hystoric city is worth to be seen.Better go in the evening time when the old city is very nice illuminated. For the ones wanting to see ancient ruins and churces probably is better to go during daytime.Nice and cosy cafes and bars.

We were staying within a 15 walk from the Old Nessebar town and therefore went there twice during our week's holiday. Such an interesting place and plenty to see and explore. Do your homework before going to make sure you see what you want to, as signs aren't very clear and it might be difficult to find places in a... More

Don't visit if cruise liner in due crowded narrow streets. Plenty of reasonably priced places to eat and drink. If traveling from sunny beach by bus .about 50p. Watch out for small pickpockets

Nessebar really offers a tale of two cities, one the UNESCO heritage site, the other a cosmopolitan Mediterranean style resort with all modern facilities. It is easy to make your choice and do both in a day visit. Our visit was just that, from the tender of a cruise ship. I suggest turning half left from disembarking the tender and... More
