This is a fascinating area to walk around. The old buildings are well preserved and there is an air of old time feel to it. However, there is an over abundance of 'shops' and in some cases eateries. Possibly because we were there in off season the place was not crowed and the downside was being constantly pestered to enter... More

The Old Town has Old Churches, Buildings and narrow streets that are mainly for walking. St Stephen Church built in the 10th Century has gorgeous murals painted in the 16th Century is a prime example of the Churches that remain in Nessebar. St. John Aliturghetos (Unsantified) Church is unfinished because one of the Workers died during Construction. Construciton is of... More

We arrived in Old Nessebar on December 2 and was a rainy day, which made me and my wife be the only tourists :). Apart from a couple of restaurants, a few shops and few locals, we were alone on the streets of this beautiful town, with a centuries-old arhitecture. Besides the arhitecture of the old houses, it is clear... More

Nessebar is definitely worth a visit. It's charming and historic, even with its share of tourist shops. For six of us it was brought to life by our wonderful tour guide, Hristina Nedelcheva, who not only knows the city inside out, but took us to a local restaurant for an inexpensive but delicious lunch. She also helped us buy the... More

Took the ship's transport to Nessebar. Fabulous little town with plenty of interesting shops. There were also some ruins and lots of restaurants. Went to the local museum which was fairly large and packed with local history. This was a very good choice to see the area. Had a wonderful time walking around.

Old wooden houses. Plenty of souvenir shops of all the kinds. A lot of non-expensive restaurants with tasty fresh food. Excellent views to the sea. Enjoy the sunsets in this fairy tale place.

there were a few museums to visit - buy you ticket for ALL at the first and you get a great deal. Lots of shops and cafes to keep you busy for hours. A lovely place to spend a few hours

I was there in October, tail end of the tourism season, when things return to normal. The history of this place is amazing, as witnessed by numerous ruins, artifacts, etc., etc. In my case the draw was the parts of old Nesebar that disappeared into the sea as a result of several earthquakes in antiquity. I am involved in preparing... More

We spent one day in Nessebar as part of a Black Sea cruise. I'm so glad I chose Tschinar Holidays to take a private tour of Nessebar and surrounding villages. The fishing village of Nessebar was charming and full of history. The churches were beautiful and different in design. The streets are very cobbled and uneven, so comfortable shoes are... More

Nessebar is a superb small town full of history. Lovely churches, shops and cafés . A wonderful place to stroll around at leisure. Plenty of places to sit by the sea and take in the atmosphere on your way into the old town. The streets all lead into each other so no getting lost but they are all cobbled so... More
