Easy to be reached from sunny beach.Cost about 1,30 leva, this hystoric city is worth to be seen.Better go in the evening time when the old city is very nice illuminated. For the ones wanting to see ancient ruins and churces probably is better to go during daytime.Nice and cosy cafes and bars.

We were staying within a 15 walk from the Old Nessebar town and therefore went there twice during our week's holiday. Such an interesting place and plenty to see and explore. Do your homework before going to make sure you see what you want to, as signs aren't very clear and it might be difficult to find places in a... More

Don't visit if cruise liner in due crowded narrow streets. Plenty of reasonably priced places to eat and drink. If traveling from sunny beach by bus .about 50p. Watch out for small pickpockets

Nessebar really offers a tale of two cities, one the UNESCO heritage site, the other a cosmopolitan Mediterranean style resort with all modern facilities. It is easy to make your choice and do both in a day visit. Our visit was just that, from the tender of a cruise ship. I suggest turning half left from disembarking the tender and... More

My partner and I visited the town of Nessebar by tender from our cruise ship. Wonderful place, I think I could easily live there for a year with all the peace and quite and easy going life style. With its cobbled streets and really old buildings winding around through the town, it is so quaint. Lots of ancient churches and... More

After nearly a week in Sozopol my boyfriend and I decided to rent a car and go to Nessebar for a day. We expected the old town of Nessebar to be more beautiful than Sozopol (mostly because it's more famous and on UNESCO's word heritage list). We were a bit surprised to find that we actually liked Sozopol better than... More

Old Nessebar is a very pretty place and should not be missed. We went there on a sightseeing tour and returned a couple of days later so that we could walk around at out own pace. There are lots of tourist shops, very reasonably priced and some lovely restaurants.

Old town Nessebar is absolutely gorgeous and a must to visit. Has old cobble streets, fantastic views, lots of stalls and shops that tie in nicely with the town. Hemingway restaurant is lovely with free WiFi n make most amazing omelet. Also views while eating are fabulous, can see across sea to sunny beach. Can also get boat over to... More
