I liked the old ruined churches , but I thought Sozopol old town was nicer and had more to see. I was only there on a day trip and maybe if I had more time there , I would have liked it better.

This is an easy town to navigate a nice walking tour to visit many ancient ruins and churches. A popular resort town, the place can be crowded with tourists and you will encounter a great deal of street merchants selling souvenirs, as well as many restaurants and cafés. Take your time and enjoy all of the sites in this Unesco... More

Interesting mix of old buildings and new tourist shops! Worth a visit. Lots of restaurants and bars to sustain you on your tour round the island.

There is no doubt that Nessebar is a very special place with many beatiful sites to see, but unfortunately it is also being run down by tourists from nearby Sunny Beach. The narrow streets are filled with people and merchants selling all kinds of souvenirs and junk. It makes it hard to see the places. The city is on UNESCOs... More

Great day out here. Plenty to see and plenty of places to eat. Watch when buying ice cream, it is all done by weight and can be expensive. Beware of gypsies trying to sell beads etc, just walk on and font let them try and put them on your wrist, once they do that they expect you to buy them,... More

Full of holiday travelers with no sense of history. Old churches are amazing but not shown to best advantage with descriptive information.

Nessebar is a World Heritage site and worth a visit. Took 2.5 hours from Golden Sands but worth the trek. Quite hilly so beware.
