Beautiful castle with a beautiful view, interesting things that I found out about the period in which the castle was built. There is also a beautiful restaurant, but I found it kind of expensive. If you want to buy a bottle of wine, there is the Queen's Winery. There is also a souvenir shop from where you can buy nice... More

The gardens are absolutely gorgeous! We were so pleasently shocked to see flowers bloomed all over the place. We took part in a free wine tasting and ended up buying 3 bottles of almond wine (amazing!!!). Then we got lost in time through the gardens and property of Queen Mary. It was impresive to see her house but the nicest... More

Although there are few indicators from the main road to lead you to this wonderfull place, it's really like a hidden treasure. The great diversity of the flora, the beautiful sea view and the rich history make it a really nice place to visit in the spring or summer. The palace is full of items that tell us the story... More

Went in the winter time, so the gardens were not in full bloom, but loved the area and atmosphere, ate at the little restaurant on site and bought the local wines. Enjoyed the palace, and the great collection of cacti in the green house.. 5 levi to visit the gardens and 5 levi to vista the palace, two separate locations... More

We had heard about the botanical gardens of Balchik and made an extra detour to see them. The complex is quite extensive with gardens, palace, waterfalls, etc. We spent about 2 hours there and probably could have stayed longer. The real hit with most people from Europe is the extensive collection of cacti. Coming from Southern California, we see them... More
