The Balchik Palace was the favourite summer residence of Queen Marie of Romania and it is one of the most beautiful places on the Bulgarian coast. This interesting and beautiful residence has organized rich gardens around it which are able to inspire everyone, especially combined with incredible views of the coast. More

The Balchik Palace invites you to relax and forget about your problems and to reflect about the beauties of this life. The entrance is 10 Leva (about 5 Euros) and it's worth every cent. Once you'll get there you'll be fascinated by the beauty of the place. There are a lot of flowers and plants and the view from the... More

The Garden is just great. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere, beautiful plants and small waterfalls around, perfect for an evening walk at times when you want to get deep in your thoughts. The Queen's palace with its antique exhibits is also worth visiting. You can also walk through the garden when going to the beach. For me such walks set... More

The Botanical Gardens are absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening. If you eat in the restaurant, you can walk around the gardens free of charge whilst you wait for your food. Both are definitely worth a visit! More

I've taken a short trip to Bulgaria's seaside (you don't need much time to visit it) on 1st of June 2years ago. We live quite close to Bulgaria so one day was enough to go trough most important places to see on the whole coastline. We stopped there to see Queen Maria of Romania's Palace and Gardens, as most of... More

Magic garden, soothing. One can enjoy the incredible colors of beautiful roses, cacti, water cascades and waterfalls throughout the park. Beautiful sea view from the palace. You must visit! More

One of my favorites! Very romantic and if you go in May-June hundreds of roses will bloom for you :) Go to the little chapel and look at the frescos at the entrance - you'll see two beautiful women, queen Maria and her daughter Iliana. And don't forget to find the sea daffodil (Pancratium maritimum), you'll be charmed. More

I liked the modesty and the hospitality of the simple people. I am nostalgic when I come here, because Balchik was once a Romanian teritory. Still, I am happy, because I always find everything in peace and harmony. I always dislike I have to leave. More

Brings back the true image of Romania as a kingdom. Except Peles castle in Sinaia, you cannot find this kind of spots in Romania anymore... very well preserved and mantained More
