We contracted a trip with a Bioventura adventures in Sao Paolo. Edson and Loudes are amazing ecological tour guides as they have an Amazing knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Atlantic Rain Forest. Nice place to go and if you go during low season it's better, you can enjoy nature much more, and also the beach, cuz it's really good view. It's worth it

Beautiful island full of history and nature. You can easily see wild "capivaras" on the beach. Also nice for a bush walk around the island.

Beautiful conservation area - full of green, beautiful sea full of fish to dive and rich history of the old prison. Scientists develop work in the island to follow impact of introduced species.

Ilha Anchieta is a great place to visit. It used to be a prison, and now when you go you can visit all that is left of the prison and there are people that actually lived there during that time telling the story! And the beach is great too!

We took a schooner day trip to Anchieta, but I would recommend hiring your own, smaller boat to do the trip. I think it would be more comfortable (the schooners get very crowded) and you would have more time to spend on the island that way. The island is part of a State Park and used to house a major... It is a perfect combination of nature and history, a perfect spot for scuba diving and snorkeling. The water is absolutely clean and warm, full of colorful fishes and reefs around the rocks. During the winter time it is possible to swim with jellyfish. The historic area have exposed images and papers about the old prision that use to run... More

Beautiful uninhabited island with secluded beaches and a nice old prison to visit. However, avoid taking a touristic tour and hire your own boat instead.
