SP, a maxi-city, is not rich in hotels. Big chains catering to business travellers are not in the Jardins neighbourhood, but the area offers mid-size boutiques, restaurants and nightlife, relatively safe driving and walking, some gorgeous older homes, some converted for commercial use, convenient in SP terms for local sights, shopping centres, the iconic avenida Paulista.

The area's shops and restaurants were very nice, but very expensive. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck in Liberdade District.

There are lot of shops and cafe. Good restaurants too. But the sidewalks are so bad: many holes and gaps.

A better part of Sao Paolo but it is my least favourite city in the world. This area had shopping and restaurant but I could not relax at all. I could not carry a cell phone or a laptop or camera. A Brazilian friend of mine said it was not a good idea to do so.I would have felt more... More

We drove around in search of the shopping mall. This neighbourhood is what adds to the variety of Sao Paulo, lots of trees and plants, the names of the streets are European countries which makes you feel you have left the chaos of the city for a few minutes.

This is the place to be in Sao Paulo. Nice shops, restaurants and architecture. The manhattan of SP. Oscar Freire street is compared to Rodeo Drive from SP....nothing like it but nice to walk and watch the wealthy people of SP. Walk the neighbourhood and enjoy.

Jardins (or...The Gardens) area is a renomated fashionable and sophisticated area of this big town, a mix between residential and comercial, high priced appartaments with wealthy consumers are always followed by luxury brands & labels with it´s glamourous shops , good restaurants and busy night life. Walking can be quite dangerous specially at night. Make sure where you want to... More

Good district too go for a walk, a coffee and shop; spend a afternoon. A little expensive, but worth the visit.

Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
