Magnificent church

One of the most beautiful churches I have seen. Small but very ornate. Be careful of Saturday's since there will always be wedding going on.

Unavoidable if you like sacred art. Rococo, nice azulejos, in a wonderful spot in the city, should go there when it is still daylight

Never gave I seen a more beautiful and moving church in my life. Multiple ceiling paintings cover the ceiling and the blue painting over the alter is unbelievable. If visiting São Paulo, this is a must see experience.

Not a big church but very beautiful inside, extremely well kept. Very refined. Don't miss the story for all the paintings especially in the ceilings.

This is the best example of Portuguese ecclesiastical architecture that I know of in Sao Paulo. We attended an exceptionally elegant wedding there. Very beautiful.

After seeing a lot of churches in Spain, Rome, Belgium, France and other countries, I wasn't expecting to be wowed by this church on our city tour of Sao Paulo. However, it's really pretty and I'd say it was one of my favorite things from the tour that day. The paintings on the ceiling remind me of the Sistine Chapel... More

We went by metro from our hotel in the business district. With all the traffic better to take the metro as the church is in the old section of town. It is decorated differently than other churches in So. AM. The walls and ceiling are brightly painted. In front is the plaza with the marker where all miles are calculated.... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
