Once I found it this was great. HOWEVER The bookshop is in a shopping centre on paulista avenida next to Consolação metro. NOT on the big motorway. I saw other confused people there...Someone change The map. Thank you. Otherwise, great resource and lovely atmosphere. Yes books are expensive but you can sit in the cafe and read them.

Neat store but picture a Chapters/Indigo mashed up with a Tower/HMV and fill it with a ton of people. There's just too many people there. However there's a bunch of English print that's usually unavailable in Brazil. Be prepared to pay 2-3x what you'd pay in North American for any books or magazines. IMO there's a much better bookstore with... More

Best bookstore in Brazil!! I usually go there to find books to myself and my family. My daughter loves the theater and the kid's place. Also you have space to take a look in a book and a good coffee place!!!

Spending some time in the Livraria Cultura Paulista is a very "paulistano" thing to do. If you can avoid the busiest hours: saturday and sunday afternoon, you will have a great going from book to book. Do not forget to stop by at the Cafe. Amazing!

Really nice bookstore (specially the one located at Conjunto Nacional). Wi-fi zone, close to the subway. Also, close to Av Paulista, another interesting point in SP. Kids can play and read books. It is a fun place.

In the heart of Sao Paulo, in Avenida Paulista you can find this mix of Borders, FAO Schwartz and Tower Records with slight bohemian, artsy air. Strongly recommendable.

This is by far the best bookstore in São Paulo, located few minutes' walk from the subway station and bus stop. You can find all kinds of books you can imagine and the staff are very friendly. Although the bookstore is almost always very crowded, thanks to the specious and well-designed interior, you can feel relaxed and have a very... More

This is by far the most spacious, coffee shop feeling type of the bookstores I've ever seen. Free wi-fi, chairs to sit and read books or to check your emails (better have a book in hand, too). Vast selection of books in Portuguese and also English. And the cafeteria serves amazing pastries and cakes.
