It's hard to find a zoo that creates a completely natural habitat for its animals, and the São Paulo Zoo is no exception. Still, staff try to provide a decent home for the more than 3,000 animals in their care, including local luminaries such as the Brazilian howler monkey and the red-breasted toucan. Tue-Sun 9am-5pm

The zoo is pretty simple to get to by Metro and then transfer on the Zoo Bus to the entrance. The bus only runs once or twice an hour, so you must pay attention to your watch. There were quite a few animals that one rarely sees, like a white tiger, Inidan Rhino, Asian Elephants. There is quite a collection... More

The zoo is huge and kids can have fun for hours, interesting as well the entry is free for children up to 5! IThe parc is nice and clean, it has different launchettes to eat or buy water but you can as well bring your picnic. There is a beautiful lake with monkey islands and birds and it's a nice... More

By international standards better than we had expected. Needless to say some of the cages and pens were on the small side and many animals showed repetitive behaviour. However in general we felt they were well looked after and well-fed. The grounds were clean, tidy and a pleasure to walk through. There is plenty of room to get about and... More

Amazing zoo, nice and quiet and clean. You need a couple of hours for the visit and it was worth that time. There is a beautiful lake with monkeys and birds running around it and it's a nice place for a chill.

The zoo is a lovely place to take a family with kids. Make sure to bring snacks for a picnic and check the weather preview to make sure the weather will be nice, as all the attraction is outdoors.

A very nice place to go with your family. The children will love the animals, specially “the king of the jungle” the lion. Actually, there is a new and beautiful attraction the “Dinosaurs´ Park”. This attraction will remain, at least, all this year of 2015.

We enjoyed the day out to the Sao Paulo zoo. We ended up at Jabaquara metro and then the bus terminal. There is a booth at the bus terminal Platform A that sells tickets. We bought the tickets including the shuttle service. The staff at the ticket booth made no effort to share any information, and you had to pay... More
