Still, staff try to provide a decent home for the more than 3,000 animals in their care, including local luminaries such as the Brazilian howler monkey and the red-breasted toucan. I come to this zoo since I was a kid. Now I take my kids quite often here and they never get bored. Animals get decent treatment, but conversation of the infrastructure could be improved. If you can, go on weekdays instead of weekends (much less crowded). Entrance is quite cheap, but food is expensive and quality is not that... More

I think is fun for kids is a very nice walk . Some animals have nice space but some birds were in small cages for my taste . A lot of lonely animals and I think they should have more than just one of each species .

This zoo has a great variety of animals but it's frequently hot and you can forget seeing a big cat on a hot day. Bird and monkey areas are great. But let's face it, some of those cages are darn small and they are the most depressed elephants I have ever seen. Enjoyed the baby giraffe when we were there.... More

A liked the zoo decoration, felt like you were in the middle of the jungle. But also its not the best zoo you will ever be. Not much animals, food is what to be expected in places like this, both quality and price. Access is OK and you have private parking , which is not that expensive. Its a good... More

Big zoo, very good in south american standard, but not compared to zoos in USA or Europe. If you are familiar with major world zoos, you can skip it, unless you are in Sao Paulo for a long time or you are with children. If not familiar with major zoos you will defnietly love it. The setting of the zoo... More

I have visited Sao Paulo Zoo 3 times now and have always found getting to the Zoo easy as a tourist. I visit zoo's in as many countries as I can when travelling and I rate Sao Paulo zoo as one of the better zoo's I've been too given the attention given to the animals well being. Many of the... More

For sure it is not the best zoo... but still it is a great place for young children to get to see real animals from different origins. With limited options in Sao Paulo, it is defenetely a good plan for a family day.

Fantastic! São Paulo's zoo boasts with species from all over the world. In a metropolis such as São Paulo, it's eye-filling to see so many animals fostered in (at least) sufficient sized cages and dens, men dividing space with the true owners of the land (and those brought here from faraway lands). Just like every attraction, eating at the zoo... More
