The Instituto Cultural Tomie Ohtake has an excellent collection of modern art, including videos, installations, paintings and sculpture. The building is also cutting edge. The only downsides are 1) no signage or information in English, 2) Not convenient to public transit and 3) it is a little on the small side. Very modern space with carefully chosen and cared expositions for free.Besides a nice little shop only with design pieces for you, your home or your office, a very speciall bookstore and delicious restaurant. Only the parking place is not cheap. More

There are always good exposicions in this place. It´s very near Faria Lima metro station. The restaurant is good. There is a store and a bookstore. They have now a expostion of Vik Muniz work. I have been following the work of Tomie Ohtake Institute for several years and it is amazing how they always choose good works to display.... More
