MASP (for some reason called MACC by Tripadvisor) comprises a superb collection of art from Europe, the US and Latin America that would not be out of place in Paris or London. Definitely worth a visit.

Very good collection of European masters like Renior, Mattisse,Van Gough and Picasso. Most were of their early periods which I had not seen pictures.

Unless you haven't been to big museums in Europe and in the States, maybe you might like the MASP. Coming from Europe and a big fan of museum, I found this one ridiculously small! I could have done the visit within 45 min, and that by taking all my time ! I definitely think it is NOT a must to... More

This unusual looking building houses some excellent artwork, particularly European, well worth the R15 (£4/$6) entrance fee. Monet, van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse among others are well displayed in comfortable surroundings. The modern local art on level-2 was interesting but certainly not the highlight of this museum. Give at least two hours to have a good look around. Cafe available but... More

A museum is as good as it's exhibitions. On my visit, though curation was excellent, the actual subjects of the exhibitions didn't really strike my fancy. Also a pity is that the windows of the building are darkened or blocked, meaning you don't get the views of the city.

A finecollection of pintings laid out in an interesting arrangement and just the right number of pictures - a must see. Don't arrive at 10.00 (openingh time) as there is a line on the weekend

The museum is closed on mondays, but if you come on tuesdays it's freeeeeee! The museum was quite smaller than we expected, but we found the exhibitions interesting. It has two floors and is located just beside Trianon-Masp metrostation, line 2-green.

We spend saturday afternoon visiting Sao Paulo, and I was told that this museum is a must. The building is really surprising when you think that it was designed in the 40. There was an exhibition of madonnas, and paris impressionist painting. I personally love the direct access to the 2nd floor by stair, and the way it is illuminated... More

This was a bit of a let down. We skipped the European section and went straight to the 1 floor to have amble time to enjoy the local collection. As we had already seen a great deal of Brazilian and South american art on the trip we were a little disappointed by the collection. Up close the building seems very... More
