The church is very well upkept. Great paintings from Brazil's colonial period. Well worth the visit. Take the tour!

I spent two hours at the Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo and it was interesting but not impressing. The building is a piece of art by itself, a big elevated building with no visible columns, that is impressing. The interior is a piece of art as well, very well designed even though I did not liked the fact that... More

I like museums, and, although I must admit that art museums are not the first on my list, I still like it and go. There's a lot of talk about MASP and obviously I wanted to check it. I must say, I was disappointed. It has a decent size, it is well organized, there's a lot to see, but there's... More

this museum doesn't have a big collection and the few pieces they have are not impressive. But again, maybe we shouldn't expect to see major European pieces in a Brazilian museum. the building has an interesting structure. Also on Sundays they have a flea market underneath that is fun.

The best stroll for a Sunday afternoon. Have a look at the flea market underneath the museum and visit the museum. Always great exhibitions.

MASP is one of my favourites museums in São Paulo. Besides the temporary exhibitions, I love the permanent collection. MASP has the largest collection of French Impressionim in the southern hemisphere. Many of the famous paintings from Renoir, Monet, Manet , Cézanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Gauguin and Modigliani are part of the permanent collection. It also has a great collection... More

MASP is the only place in the Southern Hemisphere where a visitor will find works by Velázquez, Raphael, Botticelli, El Greco, Hieronymus Bosch and many others. The impressionist collection is among the finest in the Americas. There are always good temporary exhibitions too. Some people may complain that the collection is not extensive in size. It's not, in fact, MASP... More

We spend about 1 hour there for 15 reals. They had only 1 floor of exhibits so really not much. I did enjoy the exhibits they had though. There is not much local art but there is an impressive collection of European art. All in all an enjoyable experience but just not quite enough substance.

With permanent and changing exhibitions it is the most important museum of São Paulo (well, competing with Pinacoteca, which is great too). The arquitecture is something to be noted. Has a nice museum cafeteria. Must go.

What they had was nice, but only one floor was art, and another floor was dedicated to just one painting. At this time it was the "Woman in Blue Reading a Letter" by Johannes Vermeer. Was rather disappointed in the overall experience, but it is in a great location, on a bustling street, so if you are already there, you... More
