this museum doesn't have a big collection and the few pieces they have are not impressive. But again, maybe we shouldn't expect to see major European pieces in a Brazilian museum. the building has an interesting structure. Also on Sundays they have a flea market underneath that is fun.

The best stroll for a Sunday afternoon. Have a look at the flea market underneath the museum and visit the museum. Always great exhibitions.

MASP is the only place in the Southern Hemisphere where a visitor will find works by Velázquez, Raphael, Botticelli, El Greco, Hieronymus Bosch and many others. We spend about 1 hour there for 15 reals. They had only 1 floor of exhibits so really not much. I did enjoy the exhibits they had though. There is not much local art but there is an impressive collection of European art. All in all an enjoyable experience but just not quite enough substance.

With permanent and changing exhibitions it is the most important museum of São Paulo (well, competing with Pinacoteca, which is great too). The arquitecture is something to be noted. Has a nice museum cafeteria. Must go.
