A good month to go to the Ibirapuera Park is December, specially in a week before Christmas, because the governmente, with private partnership, build a Huge 85ft Christmas tree, all covered with colored LEDs, the "normal" trees around the park get covered in lights, too, and the lake fountain gets beautiful,too. This is a great place to hangout. It is pretty and landscaped, with lakes and waterways going through the park. You can go jogging along the paths, or you can rent a bike by the hour. It is perfectly safe to go there. I went jogging and biking every weekend day I was there with my Ipod and never had... more

Okay now its Sunday, the majority of stores are closed with the exception of some restuarants, and of course, the supermarket. I have been told that this is a time when most people spend time with their immediate families. I went for a walk and this park was packed with joggers, walkers, bicycle riders and all others.
