The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

I simply love going there with my dogs, or riding a bike, running or just jogging. The best part is that you can find all kinds of people there...practicing yoga, fighting, rollerblading , having a picnic, singing, taking pictures, praying, playing RPG, kissing...it is very cool! I recommend Ibira

A peaceful place, where you can enjoy the nature, exercise. Ideal to go on weekdays since Saturdays and Sundays it gets really crowded.

Nice park to take a walk / jog around. We felt very safe walking through this park because there were lots of families with kids around.

The park itself is really made for the people, lots of free spaces for to Picknick or do sports. For sideseeing its not that good, since it has beautiful trees but barely any flowers its mostly just grass all over the place. The museums and activities had all closed when we were there...

This is an amazing park to visit, it is best to do it by day though, by night it's a little dangerous, especially if your are going alone.

One of the most beautiful parks in Sao Paulo. On Sundays it can be crowded, but you can see this as a good point if you want to feel the diversity. There are some free open-air musical shows too, with every genre possible (just check the schedule). There is place for yoga addicteds, dogs lovers, romantic meetings, skaters, cyclers, tree-hugers,... More
