Description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do...
The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

We spend a whole afternoon walking on this beautiful park. I found a lot of people exercising, doing picnic, kids play in the park, etc. A good relaxing way to spend a day.

Ibirapuera Park is a wonderful park. Everyone goes there to work out - there is a wide lane for runners and bikers and an even wider line for strolling along. There is a skate park/area inside the park. Take in beautiful views of the city. Great opportunity to take some nice photos by the lake/city scape.

Gorgeous park! Great views of the city and very friendly people. Love the big open area where people are playing hockey..I traveled from the United States, and locals in this area were very welcoming.

I hired a bike for $5 real per hour and ride around. While doing so, I experienced the Brazilian culture at its best! Musicians playing crazy music, great soccer match, lots of people with skateboards, roller skates, biked, a hole section of people doing slack-line, running. Highly recommend.

It is a huge park right in the city. It was a great place to spend an afternoon, lots of families and joggers. It was easy to get there and back.

We rented four bikes and cycled around the park which was very easy to do. The rental shop has a large assortment of sizes of bikes so everyone can ride. We stopped along our journey and enjoyed the sights. My son was enthralled with the outdoor fitness area. Wish we had more time to spend in the park as one... More

It is a must see if you go to São Paulo. The park is vibrant full of nice people enjoying their time, exercising, roller skating, byking, etc. Specially on the weekends, it´s the place to see brazilians having fun. If you go on the weekend, prefer to go before noon, it might get overcrowded in the afternoon.
