Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Great place to walk around in these hot, hot Sao Paolo days. Take it slowly, preferably in the morning or late afternoon.

Maybe the best park of the country, Ibirapuera reminds me great parks like Central Park in NY or Chapultepec in Mexico City, but with its own charm. You can see ducks and Swans on the lakes. A negative comment: Because it is a public park, you'll find a lot of garbage, if you visit it, show the locals your manners... More

It is a big place. Few museum withing the park if I'm not mistaken. A perfect place to catch some view of hot locals keeping up with their cardio.

I thought this was a great park. It is very large and very safe. I enjoyed finding a place to get a really good walk in without car traffic. It is a great spot to people watch - I was there on a weekend. I was dropped off and picked up so I do not know about parking or transportation.... More

This park is a good place to get a look at locals and to observe their behavior. It is extremely crowded and, at times, appears dangerous due to reckless bicyclists and noisy groups of teenagers running along the paths.

Ibirapuera Park is the largest park in São Paulo & rumored to modeled after NYC's Central Park. It is car-free & a wonderful place to people watch. It's absolutely jam-packed on the weekends; I recommend a weekday visit. On a hot day, the park had plenty of shade & cool breezes. We rented 3 bikes (at park entrance 4) for... More

One of the nicer places to visit in this city. Very green and clean. I felt safe walking around by myself during the day. Many people are doing sports or just hanging out in the park. There are some small places to get lunch and lots of fresh coconut vendors around. If I ever visit Sao Paulo again I will... More
