The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Lovely view of trees, flowers and animals such as: parrots, hummingbirds, armadillos and skunks but you need to be lucky to see all these wild animals!!! And hard to believe, all the trees which were grown in Brazil were grown in that park first!!

I really loved this park. The trees and wildlife were beautiful They had several museums and landmarks to enjoy while there. There was a HUGE playground area for kids. There were vendors selling good food. It was just all-around a good place to visit if you need to escape the city-life for awhile. I couldn't even hear the traffic while... More

Ibirapuera Park is such a good place for running, walking or just to rest, I go there at least 4 days in the week, but on weekends it gets too crowded, so I advise to enjoy it on weekdays.

The "Ibira" is a great place to know people and a little bit of the history of São Paulo. It has the monument to the heroes of the 1932 revolution, the planetarium, beautiful landscapes, the bienal museum, and many other attractions. Don't miss it.

This park is pretty spectacular, however crowded on weekends. If you're interested in exploring local habits and "paulista's" way of living, this is a right place! Buy juice and burger here, rent a bike and you'll be fascinated.
