Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures. « less

It is fine to go there to have a walk and relax, but don't expect it to be very beautiful. The park is quite big, may consider renting a bike.

This park is reasonably nice in the hectic San Paulo. You can rent bicycles, have some local food or just walk around.

This park reminded me alot of Central Park. It's a very large park in the middle of the city and was hopping with activity on the Saturday I was able to spend there. Although I am not a big soccer fan, I enjoyed watching the pick up soccer games going on and must have spent 2-3 hours just sitting and... More

Great place to visit on any day of the week but try to make it on a Sunday and take a picnic and join the thousands of Paulistanos enjoying this lovely green space. Try to take in one of the museum's/galleries within the park - there are all excellent or the Museu de Arte Contemporanea (MAC).

Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to visit most of the areas of the park, but from what I saw I know I will go there again in my next trip to SP.
