Located in a Victorian-era structure reminiscent of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Catavento Cultural is chock-full of interactive, hands-on exhibits and educational activities for children. Subjects covered include space, wildlife, geography, the human body and society. They are presented in action-filled, engaging fashion for the little ones. The surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, so taking a cab is recommended.

I thought the museum was VERY good, the best part in my opinion is the interactive Engineering section where the kids can play with the exhibits. My only concern is that the lines are HUGE and i couldnt do any of the special events... More

I went 2 times at there....one to visit inside the museum and that was very funny, specially for kids ( 7y - 12y). The outside counted with historical machines such as aircraft just equal as from "Casablanca". Very fun :)

An architectural icon to embrace a nice exibit. A lot of learning and fun will wait for adults and kids. Thing to improve: access by car is almost impossible in week days and parking lot is at the same level of the outdoor attractions, having kids running through the cars. Some attractions are in maintenance, frustrating part of the experience.

Best children museum in Brazil. Interactive, educacional and fun! Several exibitions dedicated to science, mechanics, medicine, etc. You can spend several hours exploring and playing, while learning.

Perfect for young children. Give them the chance to explore the myths of science interactively, challenging the laws of physics, electricity, magnets, fluids and so on. Prices are very low considering a São Paulo attraction (parking & entrance).

The museum is very nice. More or less in the old town (nearby the Mercado Municipal). It is more or less (careful with the comparison) like the Deutsches Museum (Munich). The Catavento has a lot of things related to sciences where you can do your experiments "using" the equipments.
