Dirty, smelly, and not safety. Few friends had their bicycles stolen on the daylight. Inside had a lot of nice activities to do for all ages, soccer fields, gymnasium, etc but u have to pay attention on your staff and yourself all the time to not being robbed...

This is known as TAQUARAL. Is a nice park where you can walk arround, see some birds and other small animals. Recently it has opened a tipical "caravela". It is a replica of a big ship dated from 1500's that was used by portuguese people to discover Brazil. You go inside and have a nice view of the big lagoon.... More

If you are in Campinas, you should visit this spot: it's quiet and you will have some options to do like drink a coco water, walking, cycling or just sit and look around. traffic jam from 5pm to 8pm.

Seems like a nice walking trail , liked the swan boats but won't allow pets or cyclists. And of course the park across the street that does allow pets has prominent tick risk signs at the entrance

It may not compare with the other city parks around the world, but that is the place to see and enjoy while in Campinas. You can choose to walk or run around it, or just sit under the many trees, grab a snack on the many tents around it or simply breath its fresh air. It can be very crowded... More

Most people in Campinas call this park just "taquaral". If you somehow end up in Campinas but don't get to tour the rest of the country then go to Taquaral and walk through the little paths in the forest. The forest in this park is eerily similar to the amazon. There are lots of vendors around the entrances to eat... More

Ok...I can be exaggerating...but Parque Portugal ( Taquaral) is the best and closest option to downtown if you are looking for a place to walk, relax, and enjoy the green scenery.

Unfortunately there are not much options in town for big outdoors parks so this is the best place to go if you are in Campinas! Sundays are very crowded during the morning but it's a great place for sports during day and night. Park has a 6km route outside.
