I loved the place! It's near enough Joaquina's beach where you can go walking for 2 km and you can go through the sand dunes!! Awesome!!! The Lagoon is shallow and is a great place to get your first contact with stand up paddle!! There are many schools near the water!

stunning salt water lagoon spanning several neighborhoods, accessible at various points and perfect for a variety of sporting activities or just splashing around with warm water at waist height. avoid the beaches near the more crowded central boating areas for pollution and aim at more distant shores at rio vermelho, costa da lagoa, the latter being a traditional community only... The lagoon is definately one of the best places to enjoy Brazil at its best: nature, food, music, people... You can never get tired of its beauty, the water is so clean that you can see fishes without snorkeling, just walking along the shore or stand up paddling. Amazing sunsets are part of daily life. The atmosphere is so unique,... More

By far one of the best attractions for a sunny day in Florianopolis is taking a boat ride to Costa da Lagoa (which is the Coast of Lagoon of Conceição). The boats depart every hour from the terminal located under the bridge of Lagoon of Conceição and cost about R$20 (U$8) round trip. Besides the amazing view from the boat... More

After 10 years living in Florianópolis, I am surprised that this big lake still makes me stop to see the view and is still a very nice place to stop by, walk around Rendeiras Avenue or even swim in the south side of the lake. Some new restaurants are opening there, so still a lot of good food!

even though it was chilly in May, walking around the lake does worth visiting:) there are a lot of restaurantes, bars, and shops around the lake, too. the little shops were so cute! there is a desert connecting? to the Barra da Lagoa which reminded me of Lencois de Maranhao.

I knew of Florianopolis as a city with over 40 beaches before I reached there in January 2014. Argentinians rated it among their favourite vacation spots. This lagoon was among the prettiest spots I visited, with a spectacular view on a clear day, lots of action sports to take part in, and delicious seafood. Well worth a visit.

The water is clean and much warmer than the ocean. There are a number of places to rent stand up paddle boards and other water toys. The views of the hills around are beautiful. Plus, you can shop or eat at the centrinho.

Lagoa da Conceição is an amazing place, wonderful view and lot of options to eat, specially sea foods. In the other hand, there are some places that you can't walk, like Osni Ortiga St (there is no sidewalk). The water in the lagoon is no so clean. The prices are a little bit higher than in the other parts of... More
