Targhee is fantastic. Great runs, great snow, and skiiers and snowboarders that aren't just there to show off their new, high end gear. The lodge last time we were there serves somewhat dismal food, but who wants to spend time there anyway, the mountain is what you go for. More

If you like great snow, visit Grand Targhee. If you enjoy friendly, helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere, visit Grand Targhee. You will find terrain ranging from beginner to expert. The beginner area provides a great place to learn with graduated difficulty to prepare for the "big" runs. Fun, family resort, with enough edge to keep even the most adventurous... More

Visited GT in February. While most every other western and most eastern ski areas were experiencing a drought, GT had a seemingly endless supply of fresh powder. Compared to its high priced brother, Jackson Hole, GT is reasonably priced, simple, and offers just the right amount of lifts and trails to keep an intermediate to advanced skier in her happy... Came here for the day from over in Jackson - and it was totally worth it. The drive itself is breathtaking. The resort has a nice little small village with everything you need - although when the lifts closed, the food options were about closed as well which was odd. We had a nice time here - spring skiing/snowboarding -... More

So much terrain to explore! This place is a blast. We have boarded at all the great spots around Salt Lake and Jackson Hole. This place has a little bit of the good of all of them. A laid back style, wide open spaces, so many options you can't do it al in a day for sure! For spring skiing... More

Grand Targhee situated on the border of Utah and Wyoming is not easy to get to and once there you will find few amenities. Condos are marginal with few kitchen facilities but the one bar, one restaurant and one coffee shop offer affordable excellent food. Driggs is the closet town some 12 miles away on a switch back road. There... More

Awesome powder. Friendly staff. The kids' mountain is great. The big chair lifts were closed a couple times due to wind and visibility can be bad at the top of the mountain due to wind and fog. A very nice place to spend spring break and the lift lines are non-existent. More

I've been to Grand Targhee twice now and both times there's been tons of snow and white clad trees, even this 2011-12 season when temps were mostly up all across the US. Cheaper passes, no lift lines, diverse terrain, glades, and it's where the locals go when there's a snow storm. A week ago today I was cat skiing at... More

We hit Targhee on an epic powder day - the kind they often get when bigger Jackson Hole gets less. The greatest challenge as its also known as Grand "Fogee" so visibility was limited on top. The hike to Mary's Nipple was closed but in the past has been a nice challenging run after a moderate boot pack. The terrain... More
