We had a wonderful time skiing here. My boys love tree skiing and "back country" terrain. Friendly place and easy to navigate. Check out the Cat skiing adventures with EA, he runs a great trip!

Amazing amount of terrain served by just a few lifts. Snow is great and plenty of it. Wide open spaces and glade skiing. Plan extra time if you want to visit Jackson Hole on the same trip.

Drove from Jackson to see at Targhee. Is a hike from Jackson, WY, but fun for something new. Targhee is like Vail's back bowls: bowls with few trees and lots of sun. It is best to go when new snow and snow will be soft, and it isn't snowing (hard to see if snowing and no trees). We went and... More

We wanted to go skiing for thanksgiving and the website advertised that they would be open on November 21 (1 week) before. Also reading on the resort it was mentioned several times as a place to go. After we booked we saw that is ranked #9 in the USA in one publication. We were not disappointed: the base had 61... More

If I had to pick one place to Ski and ride for the rest of my life, it would be Grand Targhee. Forget all the other ritzy places, Targhee is as good as it gets. The Powder is dreamy soft, fluffy and deep, high elevation, close up views of the Grand, and some really good vertical. I first came to... More

Visited Grand Targhee twice during recent vacation. This is the quiet side of the Grand Tetons - all the beauty with many fewer people. Staff was very helpful directing us to good hiking trails. One day we took the lift to the top and walked down through magnificent fields of wild flowers. The views of the Grand Tetons from the... More

Picked up $5 coupon (off $15 ski lift ticket) at Teton Geotourism Center in downtown Driggs. It is about half hour scenic drive to Grand Targhee Ski Resort. From the activity center, take the ski lift to a mountain top near 10K feet elevation. A short trail past nature center to have panoramic view of Grand Teton peaks. We took... More

We stayed a weekend this summer at the Grand Targhee Resort and were amazed at variety of outdoor activities that were available. The Activity Center informed us of how we could buy tickets to ride the main ski lift to the top of the mountain and then either bike, hike, or ride the lift back down. We choose to hike... More

Enjoyed several hikes at Grand Targhee. We hiked Rick's Basin which had beautiful views of the mountains and wildflowers. Another day we took the chair lift up to the top and hiked down the Bannock trail. A beautiful, breathtaking view at the top and on the hike down. A great place to visit during the summer!
