Fun, big ski hill

There is a ton of terrain and something for everyone here. I loved that I could ski from the top and take gentle runs all the way down. The runs are really wide, so there are no bottle-necks. There wasn't any new snow when we were there, but it was still really fun. There is a high-speed quad from the... More

The snow wasn't the best when we were here, but still better than what we have experienced in Utah and Colorado recently. The runs are great, very wide open and pretty steep, and you can pretty much ski anywhere. The trees are wide open. We were only here for a day, but are planning a return for several days. There... We skied here three times while staying in Jackson and it was well worth the hour drive. The lines are small so you truly get a full day of skiing. The trails were well groomed and there were trails for all abilities. Being able to ski off trail through powder at many places was a lot of fun. The people... More

Hello fellow skiers and boarders: A trip to Jackson Hole Ski Resort would not be complete without an Alltrans/Grayline Express Bus trip and ski day with Jesse O'Connor. Jesse was our driver and doubled as a fun mountain guide. The Grand Teton Pass is absolutely beautiful and is the steepest pass (10% Grade) in the United States! Jesse is a... More

Since Grand Targhee is on the west side and Jackson Hole is on the east side of the Tetons, play close attention to the snow reports and forecasts, because they can be very different. GT is small enough to wrap your head around it in 1 or 2 days and I love that they are working hard to hold the... More

We have loved to skii for over 30 years at Grand Targhee. Targhee in the past has been a wonderful family and local place. (Note that Targhee is a small ski hill, not much of a destination area, and has been mostly supported by LOCALS over the years.) But now management seems to be alienating the local skiers. As lift... This mountain is by far the best in Wyoming. When we went there was powder everywhere and barely anyone on the mountain which made our day skiing feel even more adventurist. I recommend this mountain over Jackson Hole. This mountain is much better groomed and the views are incredible. If you are in Jackson, the trip to this mountain is... More

We love going to Grand Targhee, it's an hour and half drive and it's a small enough resort that you park fairly close the lifts. The slopes are great and they have a good variety. I highly recommend going. I believe a day lift ticket is $73.00 for an Adult and they offer military/student discounts!

We spent one day here and three in Jackson Hole. While we LOVED JH, Grand Targhee was an incredible experience in and of itself. Don't let the shorter verticle deter you, the landscape is unreal and the snow was even deeper and less tracked. Look for "Middle Earth" and the gully below it for a unique experience. Our trip to...
