The place is huge with few crowds to speak of. It has the snow, the views, uncrowded trails, no lift lines, and awesome terrain. What more could you ask for? The whole experience was surreal. I loved skiing here and plan on coming back. I've been to Utah and other resorts in Wyoming, and I have to say this is... More

After skiing Jackson hole, we didn't think it could get any better. We visited toward the end of march and since the roads were clear, I suggested making the drive to Grand Targhee. It didn't look like much when we arrived. A few shops and a hotel. If staying over, it didn't seem like there was much to do. The... More

We are east coasters, so not too much experience skiing in the west. We found there was plenty of snow at Grand Targhee, and the conditions on most days were great. There were trails for every ability, and the views are breathtaking no matter what part of the mountain you are skiing. I would say the lodge is no-frills, but... More

It's been a poor snow year in the west, and it was here as well. The resort is small, and any new snow was quickly skied out.

Had a fabulous two days skiing here. Much better snow than Jackson. Much friendlier staff and not overpriced. No charge for parking unlike jackson. A nice atmosphere. Worth the drive from jackson.

We skied Grand Targhee as the first stop of a four stop tour that included Targhee, Big Sky, Moonlight Basin and Jackson Hole. The day we spent at Grand Targhee was the best of the four. The snow conditions were excellent with about six inches of fresh powder. We were still able to make fresh tracks well into the afternoon.... More

In the shadow of mega-resort run by CEOs who never ski but know how to "provide shareholders value", there are these smaller, friendly gems: Mt. Baker, Powder Mountain, Wolf Creek - and Grand Targhee, to name a few. There is powder for days after the storm, terrain for everyone, including extreme challenge if you look for it, awesome, reasonably priced... More

A truely wonderful ski resort perfect for everyone. The kids area is great for learning tricks or letting the kids run wild. We loved the instructors and the most importantly the snow.

I have been all around the U.S.A and Canada for ski/snowboard vacations. Although this place only has four lifts, it has an amazing amount of skiable terrain. Great ski school for kids and adults, nice wide open GREEn runs for the beginners. The double chair is slow, old school style, but there are NO crowds and the snow is Amazing!... More

We did a one day excursion to this mountain after skiing Jackson Hole two days earlier. Although it was sunny, the angle of the mountain meant we were skiing in the shade in the morning and late afternoon. Snow was deeper and better quality. Runs were less steep than Jackson Hole, but more steep on average than most mountains. Much... More
