We actually stayed in Victor, ID but in a quest for things to do, heard we could ride the chairlift at Grand Targhee for scenic views and hiking. The tickets were $15 per adult (our hotel had told us they'd be $5 apiece), so we were a little taken aback. We had our three year old daughter with us, and... More

Stayed at the resort for 4 days in June. Obviously not there for the skiing, but took advantage of a hike after a chairlift ride to the top! It was beautiful! There is a little display at the top to show what you are looking at. The rooms were beautiful in Teewinot Lodge, and the conference room was beautiful as... More

The Mountain was beautiful and had great runs for having a fun days ride. Most of the snow was fabricated, and little powder was to be found. However, the resort served well for carving some lines and having a good time.

If you enjoy making your own run and lots of powder, Grand Targhee is for you. The mountain is basically wide open, and very little is off limits or out of bounds. It is entirely possible to ski all day and never ski the same tracks. In addition to the massive amount of powder and expansive terrain, the views are... More

This is our first visit to Grand Targhee and we will definitely be returning. We've skied Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so far this week and will be back to finish out the week tomorrow, Friday and possibly Saturday morning. The snow is excellent in the morning - they had fresh snow just a couple of days before the start of... More

Grand Targhee is a skier's mountain--not a lot of frills, lots of ungroomed areas to ski (a positive in my opinion!), and generally uncrowded. When I was there, visibility was close to zero for two days--but the snow was fantastic. Once it cleared up a bit and we could see the mountain, there were lots of untracked areas that simply... Our group of three were lucky enough to have a day of cat boarding at Grand Targhee with Beach and Richie, we had a foot of fresh with a little crust up higher(not very skier friendly) , the second cat and most of ours bailed after one run so we pretty much shared a private cat with 2 locals (mark... I love Targhee!! Family atmosphere, great runs. Overall, a great mountain! I went with cousins on a ski trip in January, and it was epic until I broke my leg! Seriously, I will be back! I love everything about Targhee except the fog!

We just finished a week of skiing at Targhee. It snowed every day and we were rewarded with face shots and fresh tracks until well after lunch. Tracked powder up to our knees could be had from the opening run to when the lifts close. Skied onto the lifts almost every run (we never had to wait more than 5... More

We were in Grand Targhee for 4 nights over President's day week. Barely had to wait in a line on the holiday and on the others days it was ski right up and get on the lift. It snowed every night and all but one day. We stayed in the Tower Residence right at the resort and it was perfect.... More
