I love Brazilian beaches. I've been to some all over the country. This one made me angry because many places that rent out umbrellas and chairs (you pay for them) which are also restaurants, charge you 15 reais if you buy anything from a beach vendor. Its on a page in their menu in Portuguese, but I bet most foreigners... More

This beach area is safe and has basically everything you need for shopping, food and entertainment. Lots of activity from morning till night time (or rather early morning). Prices here for food are reasonable and good quality. During the daytime, there are lots of street food, at night it reduces, but still there are quite a number selling tasty pancakes... More

Nice beach with very warm water. At the far end of the beach the waves are very gentle, suitable for young children, while further along surfing is very popular.. Lots of cafes and bars are present, nice beach.

Natal has always made me happy since the first time i visited on my late 20's. the locals are nice, helpfull and of course Ponta Negra, Morro do Careca beach amazing... On my return, I was surprised with the amount of high rides bult along the coast, more bars, more restaurants...It still felt safe, warm sea waters but the feeling... More

Fabulous sandy beach which goes on for miles, so you can walk and walk. Huge expanses of sand when the tide is out - however, when the tide comes in the beach almost disappears in places. There are sun loungers and umbrellas for hire - make sure you ask the price at the beginning, as we found they can vary!... More

The beach is clean, there are many bars and restaurants where you can grab a drink or eat something. There are also many activities you can practice like stand up boarding, kayak, water sports. The best picture you can take is the one with the famous dune calle "morro di careca" just at the end of the beach.

Ponta Negra is a beautiful beach. Local people sell a variety of food along the main drag and along the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and places to simply relax on a beach chair and have a Caiperina.

Fifteen years ago this place was paradise. I was so disappointed when I came back. Polluted. Crowded. They're trying to save the beach by putting up these boulders as makeshift dunes. Ugly! You can't climb Morro do Careca anymore.

Nice beach. It's more of a beach for surfers. The dunes are pretty. Lots of hotels around. Some restaurants also. There are better beaches nearby.
