Use of Sun chairs, tables and umbrellas free. Food and drinks available for a price and brought to you. Lots of vendors but just wave them off and they do not bother. The board walk is nice but was under construction in many places.

We did not go on the beach at night as we were advised by other travelers that it wasn't a good idea. So our only experience was during the morning and afternoon hours. The water was really warm with nice waves. The beach itself was pretty big depending on the tides. We were staying at the northern end of Ponta... More

I have been in Ponta Negra and Prai dos Artistas. Very dirty place, streets destroyed, many tras in every place, and the smell is terrible. Rats in the street and in the beach. The only good place to visit is DuNAS THE GENIPABU, AN MARACAJAU. POOR INFRAESTRUCTURE AND YOU WILL BE IN TROUBLES WITHOUT A CAR. Many heavy sellers. I... More

A praia é linda! More

Due to recent works at the beach it is not very easily to reach the sea... At some places are stairs but as the works still continue not every part of ponta negra beach is accessible with ease. Furthermore are groups of youngsters trying successfully to rob visitors, and as there are some alleyways up to the villa of ponta... More

Perhaps, the best feature of the Ponta Negra Beach is its sight. The whole neighborhood is located in a high site having the beach in the bottom. Second I would say the nightlife in the high site is full of nice restaurants, creperies, etc. The only downpoint is that it has some prostitution activities in the promenade.

I guess everything is relative - this is the BEST urban beach I have ever been to. Lets start with the water - the Atlantic Ocean water is warm and clean here. The sand is soft. And in general, the beach area appeared clean of garbage. Yes - there are beach vendors. Yes - the promenade needs to be updated... More

The Morro do Careca is a sight, and the beach in front of it is the best for children, except for the dirt. When the tide is high it is difficult to get as the beach has eroded. Went near on a rainy day and the waters running from the street had a foul smell.
