It has always been on my bucket list and I was so excited when my husband and I could see the statue from afar and we knew it was a clear day! The set up system of transportation is very efficient! The views from up there are the so called paranomic views! No kidding this is a must do while... More

Travelling up to Christ the Redeemer is really one of those iconic moments in your life when you know you're doing something truly amazing. Going up to this man-made wonder was one of those times! Now, I do have to say once I was up there I realised that the Christ isn't as tall as I expected or the iconic... More

Awesome views and a must when visiting Rio. Food options were average and I would also recommend to go in a tour as opposed to on your own as it is a fair drive from Copa and Ipanema.

If you went to Christ the Redeemer you did one of the most memorable experiences in your life - it's a Not-to-be-missed thing. It's affordable, not expensive if you go all the way straight to the tickets booth. The train ride up to the top of Corcovado mountain is a exquisite beauty in all senses, be prepared to enjoy it... It's a very nice place, but just too crowded. It does give you a nice view from the city and the Sugar Loaf (which in my opinion is cooler to visit). I think it's a bit overrated as being one of the 7 Wonders... But just take some wine, some snacks... with you and it's nice to watch people taking... More

Although we came in low season, we stood in line for a long time to get tickets for the train, only to discover that the tickets were for later, 1 1/2 hours later, so had an early lunch in the meanwhile. I believe you can prebook tickets, and would recommend you do. The train-ride up was worth the wait. Take... More

Make sure to book your ticket for the train online to avoid waiting in lines, it's also possible to walk up (~2 hours) or take a van.

This place is simply epic and worth every cent to visit. Overlooking Rio, one feels like you are on cloud 9. The architect and engineer or this marvelous statue deserve to be in the hall of fame.

An amazing experience that must be the highlight of any trip to Rio de Janeiro. Book early and be prepared for large crowds and delays. Allow a half day to enjoy this and if you go in the afternoon you can enjoy the day and evening lit views which further enhanced this once in a lifetime experience.
