You just walk freely. By the way, ll the Copacabana beach + Ipanema Beach and also the lake, you do all walking. Maybe you have to take a bus to cross the tunnels, but is a cheap and short drive. Pretty much easy. If you travel with kids, is totally worth going to the lake on weekends in what is... More

Nice path for a walk or run. Around the lake is 7,5 km. There are several places for children to play, coconuts and restaurants.

The bike path around the lake makes for an enjoyable roll or stroll, with plenty of photo ops with the city in the background. In December, the world's biggest Christmas tree is built and lit up in the lake, making the night just as beautiful as the day. Nonetheless, the water is polluted, and if you get closer you can... Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas This lake has quite nice view on Corvado and Rio. You can enjoy Aqua games as the waterball and pedal. You have games for children. And the most great thing is that you can run all around the lake. (7.5km). It's one of the best place of Rio where you can see the mountain going into... More

The lake was only a short distance from where we were staying in Ipanema. We set out to walk around it one morning with all the joggers and other walkers. There's a lot to see with the tennis club, the rowing club and a couple of heli pads. On one side is a lovely park where you can get drinks... More

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places I've seen in Rio de Janeiro. Many bikes to rent and a beautiful path that surrounds the lagoon. Don't miss this view or you'll regret!

I love the lake! It sits in a very nice area of Rio near Ipanema beach and it is easy to get to and you might see it going to many site seeings in Rio because the main traffic flows through one side to go to the beaches. The lake is a great place to walk in the early evening... More
