A nice place to go for a calm walk or bike ride. It's a beautiful place with nice view of the city. However, it's a pity, because the lake water could be way cleaner than what it is.

The lake is beautiful and is surround by nearly five miles of walking/biking trails, playgrounds, parks, and free outdoor gyms. This makes it a great place to get a real workout - or just take a nice stroll. The only negative is the lake itself. While it appears clean, it's far from pristine and in places the sewage-smell can be... More

The best place in Rio for an afternoon walk or bike ride. Don't miss the best coconut water point near Rua Maria Angelica. On weekends there are bikes available for rent in several points.

It is the best place to walk, run or use your bike. It is beautiful, safe, it has 7.4 km to do your exercise. If you want you can take a coconut water or seat in a bar near the water and have some thing to drink and to eat. If you want you can fly an helicopter and see... More

We had a wonderful day walking around this lake in the heart of Rio. There's a fair amount to do as you walk round, or it's just great for a walk. There are great views of the mountains and of Christ the redeemer. We went on the lovely pedal boats for half an hour and it was just a nice... More

I dare anyone to come here and not be at peace. The water is blue, the views of Rio and the statue of Christ the Redeemer pleasant, and a good choice of restaurant or snack close by. Many Carioca's come here to exercise and relax. With a nice breeze to relax you on a hot day. It is one of... More

I am certain there are good times to visit this lake. January was not one of them. No cool breeze blows off this lake. It was just hot and sticky

There's a nice cicling way sorrounding the lagoon which is perfect for a ride or run. Also there are two parks - Parque dos Patins and Parque do Cantagalo - with roller skates ramps, bikes and eletric cars for rental (kids only), sports courts (tennis, basketball, football, volleyball and even baseball). There's a huge grass area with many trees perfect... More

This is a wonderful spot to take pictures of the lake with the mountains on the background. Lots of people running so just watch that you don't get bumped into. Very nice to spend an afternoon

It's an awesome place, but if you want to go cycling you'll have to deal with the people walking on the bicycle lanes. Usually tourists are distracted by the scenery and don't even notice they are putting themselves and their families at risk. If you MUST walk on the bike lane, ALWAYS remain to the right and ALWAYS look back... More
