Expensive to get in. Overcrowded. Few people dancing - there is little room to dance - most people taking photos of the 3 people that are dancing. Table service available but they ask for tips to your face and you pay 10% service when you leave. This place is so over managed it takes the fun out of the evening.... More

If you want to find a nice fancy place to go out for a Samba night, then Rio Scenarium is a place for you. It's a big place with 3 different floors. Ground floor with live Samba band, the rest is for drinks or eats. There is an other dance floor too. Went there just to listen to Samba and... More

Definitely a must-see for any traveller to Rio. This place is a museum and a night-club at the same time. It boasts a central vast stage surrounded by tables and stairs over 3 floors. The bands that are booked are of quality and the place is really worth a visit. There's a small shop where you can buy some jewels... More

We expected more from that place. Overcrowded. Hostile hostess. Barmen charge more than supossed to be. Nice dancing. Food not so good. Anyway it is an icon you must check.

Imagine a pitoresque scenario off Rio de Janeiro postcards, right downtown where all kinds of brazilian people are brought together. Now imagine there a nice neighborhood, with very clean streets, beautiful houses with rebuild facades. Walk down a street and just follow your feelings, because you will find Rio Scenarium, one of the best clubs in the world, definitely a... More

A cool decorated interior spread over 3 levels. A diverse crowd. The samba band on the nite were just ok. Plenty of people dancing. Go around 10pm to avoid long queues. Check their website for band times and info. There's a cover charge to get in. Also, they hand you a bit of paper upon entry for drinks - you... More

It's a place for locals who come to listen to the music, dance and eat, not at all touristy. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. There are 3 floors - the only one you can enjoy the atmosphere is the ground floor where the live music is. Also we were there on Tuesday (not week-end) the place was full... More

Went to Rio Scenarium on a Wednesday night. Arrived at 8.15pm with three others. Ground floor level was reasonably full, very few on other levels. Food was awful - very poor value for money. Music very monotonous and no life to it. There was a cover charge of 25 Reals. When we went to pay the bill we did not... More

We were taken to Rio Scenerium with some friends who live in Rio. When a local Brazilian recommends a place, it doesn't disappoint! Really enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Rio.

Late night venue for dancing and drinking in Lupo area/downtown Rio. Suitable for all ages from 21 to 65 years old. We got there at 11.30pm which was perfect, and expect a 15minute queue as this is popular with locals. You need ID or credit card to get in, as they have a charging system with payment on exiting. The... More
