Jazz, Brazilian style

The clientele is older, but the music is still fresh. Didn't have any food, so no comment there. Just bossanova til close.

Good place, mostly visited during lunch. Ambient is old fashioned, the wood furniture around the bar area seems to have lot of years and history on it. Theme on Bossa Nova and Jazz music and Honoring the great Brazilian musician Vinicius de Moraes. Food is good and price is reasonable. Had lunch specials during my visit. Advertise live music, but... We had several recommendations to visit this club during our stay in Rio. We arrived a bit early for the first show any got to hear the sound check for the 2nd show. The 2nd show is apparently the better act, however after a long day of touring we couldn't stay to hear it. There is a very musty smell... More

a super night out listening to local Brazilian music very well performed by excellent musicians, The food and wine were very good contrary to what we had heard... the place did have a musty smell, however after a couple of glasses of wine we stopped noticing it. The Pizza and Steak can be recommended.

fab bossanova, got the right atmosphere and the place takes you to the jazzy roots. only minus is the un invting smell. but hey, after a while you kind of dont notice... music spot on.. we did not eat, so no comments to that.... big minus is they put a surcharge on the entrance... surely thats not right....

This place felt very special, like we were in the birthplace of the music, similar to hearing jazz in New Orleans or Greenwich Village. Saw two singers, both excellent. We did not eat so can't comment on the food and we did not notice any smell on the 2nd floor as others have mentioned. Prices seemed reasonable for this type... More

When we asked the locals where to go for good music and food, this is one they suggested. We ate on the street level and we all enjoyed our food. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the wait staff. We went upstairs after dinner for the music. This was our first experience with Bosa Nova, but we enjoyed it and the... More

We did not wait to see the show as the food was really terrible and the restaurant dingy. We ordered a grilled sole with shrimps and mushroom sauce ... and got a fried and oily fish in a butter sauce with mushrooms and shrimps of the can ... and all this for quite a huge amount!

Music is good, but the atmosphere is not very pleasant... the smell on the 2nd floor is not nice, the pastel and french fries are not tasty and does not seem much fresh... the prices are high. 35 R$ plus to the bill if you are at music show

Loved the music!!! They had wonderful program but the place was a little smelly. Drinks were overpriced and did not taste well. But if you dont order anything and move past the smell definitely worth visiting for the music
