This is everything (and more) I expected from historic Rio. The building was renovated but kept its old days glamour. Very beautiful and classic. You can tour the exhibits and then have coffee under on an inside balcony. Entrance is free of charge. Excellent experience.

This gallery housed in an opulent former bank had a great exhibition about the junta years, and despite the captions being in Portuguese we found it interesting and informative. The exhibitions change but based on what we have read are always well worth a visit

The Bank of Brasil Cultural Center sponsors a large variety of cultural activities year round: Exhibits, theater plays, concerts, etc... Guided tours are available. Always something interesting going on. Free access to exhibits, and quite fair fees for the other activities.

It's a special place to visit where usually there are art expositions. It's easy to access as it is placed right the center of the city at the side of Candelaria Cathedral. Don't miss the chance to visit it when you come downtown Rio.

inside this culture centre there a nice bookstore and some expositions in the central foyer. Everything is beautiful and it was a nice place to take a break, because there was very hot in the street.

Beautiful place. There's always good expositions over there. Also, around the area you can find various restaurants that have good foods and good prices. Easily to get there by the subway, just get out at Uruguaiana station and walk towards the sea. Not open on Tuesdays.

All in Portuguese, we don't speak Portuguese but didn't matter a jot. Good exhibitions, odd stuff happening in the foyer, good café and air conditioned, important when its 40 degrees outside.
