The rooms showing what the bank used to look like in the past, was very good. The rest was pretty ordinary! Brazil seems to have had a glorious past and it has regressed since then.

I was very disappointed by the Centro Cultural Banco Do Brasil as the exhibitions were not in english and the staff working the bag check gave me a hard time for not carrying identification.

Amazing arts exposure, nice walk through the floors and look at the beauty of the building... Many floors and art rooms to stay at least an hour in there.

Very worth a visit. The Greek collection and the classic paintings are worth a presence in the likes of the Louvre or the Hermitage.

This place is free, has a cinema, decent cafe, a decent bookshop and puts on high quality international contemporary art shows. In the immediate area are streets of great character with charming slightly decaying colonial 17/18th c buildings, now mostly converted to bars/retaruants so plenty of eating drinking options. Next door is the Casa Franca Brasil..another contemporary art venue, but... More

The day that I was at this museum they were doing an exhibit on Gold and currency. It was fascinating. In another area there were other exhibits as well. Well worth the time.

I am not so used in banks having a cultural centers. I thought it was a great idea. It seems there are many things going on there. They have a very nice bookstore and a place to refresh.

CCBB is not a traditional attraction to tourists in Rio – but you should consider it. First of all, being an indoors sight, it can be an interesting option in rainy days, or in the inclement days in the Rio de Janeiro’s summer. Second, it can be a perfect final point for a visit that comprehends the Se Cathedral, the... More

Great place to visit in the downtown of Rio. You can see what is going on there, because always have a show, theater or exposure. You can have a lunch and the expresso for me is super good! Go around, take a rest, have a lunch and continue to look around the area. There you can find other beautiful cultural... More
