Regular cultural exhibitions presented there

Need to research what is being presented when you are in town. Usually exhibits are of a high standard, and well presented. Worthwhile.

It's kind of difficult to find the exhibits (on the second floor), but once you do this is an enjoyable and free cutltural experience.

This place is really amazing. Its architecture is extraordinary. It is really a place you should visit when in Rio, especially if you are staying more than a week.

Saw a very good Kandinsky exibit. Avoid lunch hours, because people who work on the are tend to visit during their lunch hour, crowding the place. Everything there is free and there is always a play, a concert and art shows happening.

Always a treat to wander around this 1900's historical building in downtown Rio de Janeiro. Easy access by subway, Uruguaiana stop. Multiple art galleries with some world famous exhibitions.

CCBB is a wonderful cultural center, the building is beautiful and contains a great library, coffee shop, bookstore, etc, but what it's known for is being a cultural center. Always featuring amazing art collections/cultural expositions which change frequently and are free, it's definitely worth visiting year round. A great place to spend an afternoon.
