The Centro Cultural Banco do Brazil is located in the city center of Rio de Janeiro. The building itself, which houses the center can be considered an attraction, a historical building with a past linked to the origins of the bank. The center has a constant and diverse programming that always has great exhibits. The last one was Salvador Dali.

I visit the place every time I'm in Rio with my family and we are all unanimous on loving the place (including the two rambunctious boys). The admission fee for the recent, outstanding Dali exhibit was $0 - no better value than that for access to world class art and culture. Note that they also movie theaters at the CCBB,... More

Great place to visit, classical building with great expos on site. Dali was the subject of my visit and the collection provided a great deal of information about the painter and his works.

Who would have thought you could take in a Salvador Dali exhibit for free at lunch time. That is exactly what I did. Very well presented and some contrast to how some of the art is displayed at the Figueres museum of Dali. The Central Bank has many exhibits and a wonderful cafeteria for a quick lunch. There is more... More

Good Dali exhibit and museum. The highlight was the Dali experience as the museum itself is ok but the wow factor would be driven by the exhibits (or performances if they were inventive).

It was pouring cats and dogs when I walked into Centro Cultural Banco Do Brasil to take shelter on a weeknight. It was two hours before closing time and I remembered a friend telling me about a Salvador Dali exhibition currently on display. She said that the lines usually wrapped around the building for this exhibition. But I was in... More

If you want a museum like the smithsonian, that can wear out a pair of shoes in a day - this isn't for you. However if you want something quick and sharp for an afternoon then you may love this as much as a I did. It has some big names to pique your interest (warhol, picasso) as well as... More

The museum has a nice Salvatore Dali exhibit currently and it made for a nice visit. They also had an interesting collection of artists from a German couple's collection on 2nd floor. The quality of your visit will depend on what is being exhibited at the time of your visit. In Centro and walking distance from Uruguaiana metro stop. Close... More
