Beautiful botanical garden. My son loved the fishes on the pond. My only problem was with the mosquitoes, but that is expected when you are in the middle of the plants :-)

This is a fantastic place to visit. There are plant species from all over the world, all very interesting, plus an orchidary and bromeliary, great collections of these plants so typical from Brazil. Furthermore, it is very romantic, perfect for twosome walks. What's not to love about this place?

One of best atractions in Rio with amazing rain forest and many species of wild life as birds. Entrance fee is about 2.5 U$ and it has an efective private security. So relax and enjoy

Surrounded by residential areas, easily reached from the beaches and other parts of Rio. Awesome Royal Palms, Pau Brasil, giant bamboo, medicinal plants, Mata Atlantica. Lovely gift shop with relevant items and attentive staff. Worth a visit! Enjoyable for adults and kids.

Good place to have a walk. I did that straight from the airplane from Europe so it was a good choice for decompressing from the jet lag that was coming. Entry payment was easy, there was a nice coffee inside, offered beers and light food. Garden was a beauty and orchids were the best part!

Adjacent to a busy street is a piece of green, lush real estate that allows one to get goose to seeing indigenous trees and plants of brazil up close and personal. We visited in May and it was hot so carrying bottled water and snacks helped. I saw a snake that day which was a little scary but added to... More

So green, so peaceful. One could spend several hours here and come out feeling refreshed and recharged. There are no facilities inside the gardens and they are huge so carry some water and food with you... You can walk on the top edge of the gardens that has an aqua-duct separating from the forest land and just appreciate how calming... More
