Could have better maintenance... specially around the medicinal plants area.. Beautiful trees and rare plants.. nice to see some of the explanations... If you know a bit of furniture and different types of wood it's very interesting to go and see the real trees that sometimes you only heard of... Would go back there if other friends want to visit,... More

it is a nice, quiet, peaceful place to spend a few hours. a great thing to do, if the weather does not allow for other activities. it is rather a big place, and offers a lot of trees and nice spots to sit and rest and enjoy nature. overall, a great place to relax.

It costs the equivalent of about £3 to enter the gardens, which are amazing. There's some kind of tradition here because it was full of heavily pregnant women doing photo shoots with their partners and families when we went. The gardens are on the site of an old gunpowder factory and steeped in history. The plants and tress are stunning.... More

We went here when the weather was poor, and it was a nice peaceful way to spend the morning among all the trees and plants. There are some monkeys, and interesting birds running about which were good to see.

If you are tired of beaches, museums and shopping, the Botanical garden might be a very good option to consider. Easily accessible by bus. The leaflet that is given to you at the entrance is really well documented and talks about the interesting history of the place. The garden is gigantic, with many walkable paths. So make sure you take... More

I've known people who've lived here for decades and still haven't gone there. It's a bit uptight and you can't even have picnics on the open grass areas. There is a cafe in there so that may be the reason. It's worth the 3 euro ticket, though. Go in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat.

This botanic garden has seen better days, which is precisely why we found it so charming. It's as if a neutron bomb went off and left a quiet Eden for life to regenerate.

very nice. make sure you take your bug spray. I was eaten up pretty good by mosquitos. Other than that, the cafe is not bad and they have many trails to walk. The other thing I liked was the birds flying around, have your camera ready.

It is entirely walkable with excellent paths and a very large variety of flora. The orchid house is marvelous. There are ruins to explore, old colonial architecture to admire, and many interesting themed areas. There is a tram tour, which is a good introduction to the whole park, There is a small outdoor restaurant, and other less expensive restaurants outside... More

This is a beautiful urban garden. They have the most marvelous cactus garden within, and the Orchidario is really special. It's a relaxing and rejuvenating walk inside the city.
