We set off at 8am and it is worth it to get there early to avoid the tours and crowds although to be honest it was far from busy It is not worth the organised tour if you cannot walk get a yellow taxi and then take your time to just gaze upon the views Be aware it was 38... More

I did this the first morning I arrived and standing on top I understood why they say Rio is the most beautiful city in the world.

Our guide Luis(spoke 5 languages incl. English) and video man, Moura were super people - knowledgeable, kind and helpful - please use Gray Line Tours. All entry tickets were taken care of so we did not have to stand in any queues. Great explanations for all that we were able to see. Cable cars a good experience.

I visited Sugarloaf whilst travelling brazil, and I high recommend it, the views from the top are out of this world. I will say make sure you get the right ticket type before entering, as the ticketing system isn't very clear. As one of Rio's most famous attractions, it is a must see, make sure you have a coat/ umbrella... More

After months of planning for our visit to Rio for Carnival 2015, we finally got the opportunity to meet with Ederson our very Reliable, Knowledgeable, Experienced, Courteous tour guide. My husband and I were very excited to experience a fun filled day with Ederson. Our first stop was at Christ the Redeemer which was breathtaking. We overlooked the city Morro... More

The cable car is a two stage ride to the top, and runs well even when crowded. Each car carries about 60 people per trip. The rides are controlled by barcoded tickets in both directions. The ride is quick and enjoyable. We went on a day that was 102 degrees and it was still ok. When clear, the views from... More

Everything you've heard is true, watching the sunset here is pure magic. Showed up around 4:30pm and there was literally no line. Walked right up and bought a ticket, headed right to a cable car that was ready to leave and up we went. Spent some time at the first summit. There's stuff there and it's nice, but the real... More

Along with Corcovado, a lofty way to see a panoramic view of Rio and with this one you're really spoiled - the first stop was lower but actually my favourite: a round view of the expansive city. Just amazing! The second height was also very beautiful: that much higher, cloudier and removed from the city. Then, once we descended, there... More

Great views from one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. We went on a cloudy day so got a unique view. We were literally on top of the clouds and could just see the city through them. I recommend going in the early evening so you can watch the sun go down!!!
