We loved the views from both the peaks. We were lucky to be up there when the sailboats were being towed into the Gloria Marina from an international race that took place earlier in teh day. We were also lucky to be there at sunset. A glass of wine on the balcony of Cota200 while watching the sun go down... More

If you have little time to spare and want to get your first impression of Rio, this is the place. I am Rio native and this is the place where I take my foreign visitors first. Dramatic views, sea, mountain and greenery. Definitely not to be missed.

I had the best day ever at sugarloaf! The views are awesome, the cable cars are too cool and bonus, they make amazing caipirinhas!

Long lines (45 minutes+ on weekends) but what a view once you are the top. Prepare to pay hefty prices too.

Although the monkey-squirrel like animals scared us a little bit, it was really fun. I'm scared of height, but would still get on the mountain again to see the wonderful view of the ocean. My suggestion would be to choose a sunny and bright day to get on Pao de acucar.

Early evening, you can find great scenery ...and there might be happy people talking with their friends.

Too cloudy and yet it was very crowded :-( It is not a cheap place. If the weather is bad they do not give refund. There are not many shaded places to wait.

To visit sugarloaf is kind of a must. But I was a bit disappointed as it is most impressive viewing it from further away. Nevertheless the ride up there was nice and I could take some good pictures. For viewing pleasure I would rather recommend the Christ statue.

The view is tremendous, but that is about all worth mentioning. The cable car ride up gave good views as well. I am somewhat handicapped and the attendants were all very helpful.
