When traveling to Rio, most visitors wish to visit the statue of Christ The Redeemer / Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Both are excellent visitor sites offering unparalleled views over Rio de Janeiro and you should at least visit one of them. But check the weather forecast, as on certain days and during certain times, they may be covered by... More

Basically make sure the weather is clear. If there is a lot of sea mist or heat shimmering you can lose a lot of the view once you get up there. Instead of taking the air lift all the way I would recommend to talk the stretch to Urca by foot. it is about 30 minutes through nice forest/jungle/vegetation (depending... More

The view of Rio De Janeiro from sugar loaf mountain is most amazing. The queue to get to the cable car can be quite annoying. Sometimes it takes almost half hour to get to the cable car entry. Reach early if you want to avoid the crowd. A half day can be well spend in sugar loaf

A must visit destination when in Rio. Take a quick taxi ride from Copacabana beach area (10-15Reais) at 8am to avoid the queues and enjoy one of the best scenic views in the world and the amazing cable carts that take you to two peaks. Entry fee is around 50Reais, but worth it. You will be astounded by the views... More

Located just behind Copacabana Area, it is so easy to get to, I would recommend to take a cab, but the attraction is very crowded so pack loads of patience, from the entrance there are long queues just to pay for the entrance and another line to hop on the cable cars as well, it is also quite expensive for... Once you get over any fear of heights in the cable car the views from the top are brilliant. Well worth the fear factor.

Both the views from the lower and upper hills were lovely. We were here during the week in the off season so it wasn't crowded at all. We had no lines for anything and there were plenty of places to walk around and just sit and admire the views. There are shops and restaurants for a snack or light lunch.... More
