Whilst in Rio everyone has a list of places to see, things to do. This should be on that list. Getting the cable car up Sugar Loaf mountain is really fantastic and you'll really get to see the famous Rio landscape, so beautiful. You won't be disappointed you paid the fee.

A beautiful ride going up to the first mountain with a fantastic view of Guanabara bay and the old part of Rio de Janeiro. Once there, a good restaurant and the usual souvenir shops.. going up to the second mountain, flabbergasting view of 360 degrees with telescopics to see all of Rio... But, if the day is cloudy, bot Worth... More

I went with some friends during the world cup and although it was extremely busy with tourists it was still a marvellous experience. Just being in this place one of the icons of the world. The views were spectacular and seeing rio from this perspective it confirms how beautiful this place is. Food options were average and overpriced mainly sweets... More

If I could describe with one word this beautiful place it would be "awesome". Despite the beauty of the views from the top it's quite impressive all the way in the cable cars that lift you up the mountains. The first of them it's croweded of monkeys and surrounded by lush vegetation. The best part is the second mountain where... More

We went early on a Sunday morning to avoid the crowds. Definitely worth it, easier to get around, and avoid people in your photographs. Well worth a visit. The weather was perfect and the views stunning.

We visited this place on our first day in Rio and it was beautiful. If you go in the morning there's no line waiting. It gives a very cool overlook view over the city and you could just sit there for hours! Try to go on a clear day though, we were lucky enough to have a lot of sun!... More

Came in low season, so there was no queue. All very efficient and easy. A must when here, of course. Fantastic views, of course.

The best time to visit Sugar Loaf is after 16.00 hours. You avoid the crowds and you can enjoy the mesmerizing sunset. Avoid daytime (11-15) when most tour groups come.

The process of getting tickets and waiting for the tram was quick and easy. The view was amazing and the weather was excellent. You could see the whole city from the top.
