Had the pleasure to enjoy a night at the Casarao Ameno Reseda in June during the World Cup. A wonderful culinary and music experience with Rio's very own chef Claude Troisgros creating a superb dinner from Brazilian ingredients and local musician Rodrigo Botter Maio and his band playing out some great Bossa Nova tunes. Great evening and highly recommended

My groupe of colleagues decided to go to the famouse danceclubs at Lapa, but they were crwded and long lines in the streets. Than we decided to visit the new cultural / entretainement place "Casarão Ameno Resedá", not far from Lapa, with fantastic ballroom, very good North-East music bands. Trio Pé de Serra, Forró Universitário, Maxixe and lot of other... More

The Casarao provided a refreshing night out on the town in Rio. I came to Rio for a 7 day holiday, and two days in, I ran across Casarao Ameno Resedo. I'm so happy I didn't just walk by like I had considered. There was so much to be missed here. When I walked in I had to fend off... More

After marrying my best friend on Saturday June 2, 2012, my new husband and I enjoyed a most fantastic honeymoon in Rio. Although we like to enjoy the typical tourist attractions, we truly prefer a more culturally indigenous experience in our travels. Being the (slightly over) organized individual I am, I did a bit of research and scheduled out our... More

I was an amazing experience when I visited Rio with my girlfriend, traveling around the city, taking in the culture and looking for a bit of fun at the end of each day. Our mutual taste for spending a night is to dance along with music at someplace nice. We also prefer live music because it is something that lightens... More

A nice break from the usual clubs in that here is a more sophisticated and genuine group of people who are there to appreciate good music. A more mature crowd than other places I have visited in Rio, with a welcoming atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. The restaurant downstairs is excellent too so not far to go to... More

If it has live music in Rio, there will be tourists. That's ok, when they don't overwhelm, like they do in some other Lapa venues, where it is basically all the foreigners looking around, trying to understand what's going on, trying to dance, taking photos etc. At this Casarao, you'll only find brazilian music afficionados... cariocas and brazilians, at least...
