Prainha Beach is a secluded half-moon-shaped beach, bordered on each side by rocks and high cliffs. It is one of the best surfing spots in Rio, and may be reached by car or by the orange "surf bus" that passes through Copacabana and Ipanema.

I loved this beach! The whole journey to get there is great because you are in a nature reserve and you are surrounded by rain forest! :D The sand is whitest than the beaches in the center and it has less people! I went on a sunday and I could park without a problem and be on the beach with... More

This beach is beautiful, though far away. It is a surfers paradise and the waves are perfect. It is very small and hard to get too but it is a must see place!

That's a really nice small beach! Great for surfing, big waves. There is a cafe as well. I think it is only possible to go by car and it's about an hour from Copacobana.

One of the most private beach in Rio. You have to go early or after 4pm, because it is so crowded that the police closes the way.
