Off of Lagoa (you have to cross the bridge to get over the traffic), this is a free public park that has a short hike up to a nice lake view and then paid activities for kids and adults: a zipline (small), two ropes courses (one for younger kids), and a small climbing wall. They also hold birthday parties there... More

The hike up to the lookout is a nice circut track that can be hot (like all of Rio) but at the top you rewarded with a nice breeze. Zip line and obstacle course looks great for kids and the climbing wall is one like you would expect in a city mall or REI (Maybe two routes with plenty of... More

A great way to spend an afternoon is heading to the lake and catacumba park (about a 15 minute walk from the middle of copacabana) - you can walk or cycle around the lake or hire peddle boats, and there is also a park for the kids. Then catacomba park is good for all ages, whether you want adventure or... More

Great spot for couple fun hours around Lagoa. This park that used to be an Old Slam (favela) became a ridden little treasure. If you are planning to hang around the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and are with kids or like adventures, you should stop by. With 2 tree rope courses (one for adults, one for small kids), zipline, climbing... More

You can't miss the track that go all the way up to the summit of the Sacopã rock. It has a amazing view of the lagoon, the "Dois Irmãos", the Gavea peak, Corcovado and many other mountains of the Rio de Janeiro skyline. The track is well signed and has informations about the history of the lagoon both in Portuguese... More

It is a pleasnt 20-35min walk up to the top of the hill, great to take kids and family. A great option for spending an afternoon then going down to the lagoon for a bite to eat and maybe a trip to the middle of the lagoon in one of the swan shaped boats they have for rent. There are... More

Park is just next to Lagoa, a little walk from Ipanema or Copacabana beach. To get to the park you have to cross the bridge. Park is open until 5pm but they don`t let you walk up after 4pm. However if you are fit walking up does not take more then 10 minutes. There is 2 viewpoints, one with view... More

This is a great place to go with the kids and the "grown ups" will enjoy it to. It's a Park right on the other side of Lagoa, very green and cool, even in a hot day. There are climbing walls, zip-lines and 2 levels of rope courses in the trees (arvorismo): an easy one for the younger ones and... More

This is a fantastic little park that is sadly ignored by most visitors to Rio. I think this is partly due to its slightly inconvenient location; it's not very close to most of the major attractions in Rio. (That said, it is within walking distance of the Cantagalo Metro station as well as many of the hotels in Copacabana/Ipanema.) Admission... More

The Catacumba Park has now become a place for adventure with 2 tree rope courses (one for adults, one for small kids), zipline and rappel. So this park, which was nothing special, now has become lots of fun. Gives you something different to do and afterwards you can have drinks on the Lagoa. The place also has a history as... More
