Football fans, don't waste your time. This tiny stadium is inside Fluminense Football Club (the 3rd largest football team in Rio, after Flamengo and Vasco), and it is not worth the trouble. The stadium is actually just a training field for juvenile players. If you wanna see a real stadium, go to Maracanã.

From where I am from - Asia, this dilapidated Stadium was far from any modern football Stadium which I have visited worldwide to be honest. However, after knowing the rich history behind the Stadium, it was certainly an eye opener and great experience to be stepping at the once famous Stadium. Unless the local team Fluminense has just won a big competition there is really no reason to visit this stadium, very small and dirty. If you do go, watch your step as it is in dire need of renovations.
