Julio was a great guide. He picked us up promptly at 8 o'clock and we spent the day with him seeing the major sites. We went straight to Corcovado to see Christ the Redeemer, which was smart so as to avoid huge lineups and traffic. He was knowledgeable and definitely a "laid-back" kind of guy. Unlike some tour guides who... More

Julio was wonderful. We had a great time visiting the sites with him. He picked us up from the airport, took us on a 6 hours tour and then dropped us at the pier. You couldn't us for a better guide. Thank you Julio.

Julio guided our traveling party of 7 for an enjoyable day-long tour throughout the main sites of Rio such as the Christ the Redeemer, Lapa Steps and Sugar Loaf Mountain. I would highly recommend Julio for anyone looking for a guided tour.

Julio is amazing. We were four mid-20yr old guys on our first trip to Rio. None of us speak Portuguese, and it was important to us that we had an energetic tour guide who spoke good English and was flexible on our itinerary throughout the tour. Julio met all this criteria and more. Very easy-going guy, great conversation, and knowledgeable... More

We had an awesome time visiting the sites with Julio. He answered all of our inane questions and took us to all the places we wanted to see. If you only have a short time in rio make sure to book a private tour and we wholeheartedly recommend Julio as your tour guide. He is flexible, speaks English well, and... More

My friends and I visited Rio for our spring brake. Julio took us on a hike in the Tijuca forest and it was probably one of the best things I experienced in Rio. Julio is an excellent tour guide, he knows Rio like the back of his hand and he is always willing to help with his recommendations. He is... More

It was indeed a pleasure to have met you and you were able to accommodate us for our brief stay in Rio. It was a lovely encounter. I have to come back and spend more time. The three of us could not have covered seeing so many places, nor would we have been able to visit Christ the Redeemer. So... More

My family and I made a quick trip to Rio prior to going on a cruise leaving from São Paulo. Julio was recommended to us by a friend and prior tour guide who we had met during last summers World Cup. Right away I got a good vibe from Julio. He was very flexible as far as what we wanted... More

To begin with, my friend and I did not originally book our day tour with Julio before we left New York City but due to schedule issues, we were not able to meet our original tour guide but instead he recommended us to Julio. Upon calling him, Julio was accommodating and confirmed our meeting time and location for the next... More

Julio is fantastic--he elevated our trip from ordinary to unforgettable! We appreciated his kindness, flexibility, and never-ending good humor. We had some bad weather on the trip, and Julio worked with us to meet for a few hours a day during sunny times to tour the city--something not many other (if any) guides were willing to do. He is very... More

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
