The hike was very enjoyable. I most enjoyed the short 'doodle'-like history and political overview of Brazil before the hike. My kids (4 & 5) also had great fun during the hike!

Ed is great. He dives in with a history lesson on Rio and gives you a sense of how the culture evolved. You then embark on a steep climb up to the peak. It has incredible views over to Ipanema and West Rio.

During last October I joined the tour in the Tijuca Forest and I had a great experience! We had a nice group and the guide was super friendly. The view from the top was breathtaking and we did at the end of the tour a refreshing "shower" in the waterfalls... I felt so alive! One can really experience a whole... More

This is a "must do" for any trip to Rio. Alex our tour guide picked us up from our hotel and was courteous and spoke great English! There were 5 on our tour group for the tijuca big hike, which took us to the forest where Alex gave us an excellent history lesson of how Brazil came to be before... More

We did the Favela and Jungle Hike. After reading so many great reviews, we may have picked the wrong hike. Our guides were great, but at the end we were kind of like 'is that it'? We walked through a favela, and other than having our history lesson there, we spent very little time in there. We did something similar... More

If you decide to visit Rio de Janeiro you definitely should not miss Tijuca Rainforest which can offer one of the best views of the entire city. We have booked the trip with Jungle Me and Ed, our guide, showed us the most beautiful parts of the forest and told us the most interesting things about the history of the... More

We decided to take the Tijuca 'Big Circuit' (Peaks & Waterfalls), and surely it was the best decision. Communication since was perfect since we booked and in the previous days. The day of the excursion, our guide was Alex and he did a super amazing job, he has a lot of knowledge about the tijuca forrest, the history of Rio... More

I did the Tijuca hiking tour as a solo traveler and it was a great day out. Our guide, Alex, did a wonderful job. He told our group about the history of Rio and all about the plants and trees we saw in the forest. At the summit, there are wonderful views of Rio. This was a highlight of my... More
