We loved every minute of our class! Chef Simone was extremely welcoming and made sure that each student had the opportunity to be involved and take away from the class! The flow was very natural and while sipping the delicious caipirinhas we made, we had a chance to ask questions and chat about ourselves, and learn about Brazil in general.... More

Having taken other cooking classes in other countries, I would say this cooking class is A LOT more than just a cooking class where you learn how to cook authentic Brazilian dishes. It is as a very personal customized experience with an amazing and charismatic chef, who also feels like one of your friends! We laughed and talked for the... More

Simply put, Chef Simone is the best! We absolutely loved our cooking class experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Rio. First and foremost, the knowledge and cooking skill of Chef Simone was evident from the moment we arrived. The experience was truly an "authentic" Brazilian experience and the food was AMAZING. Moqueca, caipirnihas, feijoada....every drink and dish that we... More

We had the most amazing time with Simone. The atmosphere and food was out if this world. But best of all was her insight into Brazil especially Rio. I wish we had gone on our first day in Rio. Simone makes you feel at home and encourages everyone to be hands on. We will be cooking Brazillian style for many... More

I found this cooking class on Trip Adviser and decided to give it a try during my stay in Rio. I thought it would be a great way to learn a bit about the culture and food, as well as a way to bring home a 'souvenir' I can use from years to come. Well, Chef Simone did not disappoint!... More

My wife is an amazing cook and is always trying t get me into the kitchen to cook. She thought this would be a good way to introduce us to food from my homeland and get me interested. The class with Simone certainly didn't disappoint; with her unique teaching style, full of local history and anecdotes along with excellent tips.... More

I am SOOO thrilled that my husband and I found Simone and her Cook In Rio class during our trip to Brazil. From start to finish it was one of the most memorable experiences from our week-long visit. Simone and her team were so welcoming, accommodating, kind, interesting and we learned so much. Simone's insight on Brazilian/Carioca culture and life... More

I always like to take a cooking class when I'm in a new country to learn more about the local people...AND I love to eat. This class didn't disappoint! Not only did I learn how to make some very simple and delicious Brazilian dishes, but got an impromptu samba lesson and had a great conversations about life, travel and got... More

I can't even begin to explain how excited I was to take a cooking class while visiting Rio! Simone is fabulous! She shares Brazilian culture, food and the influences of other cultures on the great dishes of Brazil. She is funny, witty, engaging and really enjoys learning about people. We made Feijoada and caipirinha two staples of Brazil.. I only... More

We spent a wonderful morning at Cook in Rio learning how to make wonderful Brazilian dishes. Chef Simone was so easy to listen to and explained everything so well. In addition, she gave us insights into many aspects of shopping and cooking. We had a pretty large class and everyone got to contribute and help out with the cooking and... More
