We had a great experience learning to cook authentic Brazilian food with Simone. We got the opportunity to learn about Brazilian culture and history, and had a great meal. I highly recommend taking this class!

Chef Simone is a fabulous character and gets everyone involved and laughing. The class was great and the food was delicious (come hungry, you will eat a lot). We booked online which was easy to use but we did have to follow up for the confirmation (as the email when we booked said we would get a separate email to... More

Cook in Rio was great! Simone is so funny and animated, the 4 hours will fly by and you won't even notice! She not only shows you how to cook the recipes, but she explains a lot about the culture and why they use the foods they do. Our class was diverse-me and my boyfriend (27/28), my mom (60), a... More

My family took a cooking class from Simone while we were there for the World Cup. We took the Seafood Moqueca class. Besides learning that dish, we also learned how to make Capairinhas (two ways). It was definitely a hands-on class, everyone had to participate during the class (although you don't make the entire dish - just portions). Simone also... More

Simonie is an amazing chef with an even more amazing and fun personality! I couldn't have spent the afternoon in a better way. She is full of tidbits about Brazil's history, the origins of the food and the people's culture, as well as giving you cooking tips in a way easily remembered! I would highly recommend this to anyone who... More

Hands down, one of our favorite things to do on the trip. Chef Simone exceeded all of our expectations. Her cooking matches her charismatic personality and tales of Brasil. We really enjoyed learning how to make the national dish, Feijoada, and dining with newfound friends to start our trip off just right.

Simone is an amazing person and talented chef. She explained a lot about Brazilian food and culture. Meeting her was worth the money to attend the course; she is witty, intelligent and enjoys life. The course is suited for beginners and is lead in a demonstrative style. The food was wonderful. Drinks, lunch and many tastes along the way are... More

This is probably the best activity my partner and I did in Rio. From the moment we walked in Simone made us feel comfortable and welcome. She has a great personality, a cheeky sense of humor and is willing to explain the smallest things. Even if you aren't the worlds greatest cook (I burn toast) you shouldn't be put off... More

This was one of our favorite activities in Rio (a close second to the World Cup matches)! We discovered this class in an online Rio guide as a honeymoon activity but my siblings & our friends quickly took interest in attending this class with us so it became an awesome family/friend activity for the 6 of us. Simone is an... More

I decided to book this class a bit spontaneously after I read about it in a Rio guide, and I am so glad I did! Chef Simone was brilliant - the class was interactive and she made it feel very personal, telling us all sorts of anecdotes, both about her own life and about Brazilian food and culture. She also...
