Paraty is truly a treat, with old colonial buildings, cobble stone streets and bright colored doorways one would feel as if they were in a history book. I fell in love with this city and its art scene on my first day. I visited local art galleries and saw amazing creations made from recycled materials. I made my way through... More

This year we’ve been in Paraty for the second time as 2 years ago we spent only 2 days there and I fell in love with this small, colonial town with white houses and cobbled streets. You can walk here for hours, stopping by for caipirinha or juice. There are also art galleries and souvenir shops, cachaçarias and hostels. Historic... More

We had not heard of Paraty before and yet the historic centre is so well preserved and traffic free (apart from horse drawn carriages!). More

The streets with stones, the houses from colonial period when the gold from Minas Gerais came to Paraty to be send to Portugal. We have few cities like Paraty and I recomend this trip... More

Wasted 3 days in Rio until rented a car a went about 200km south to this paradise. The historical center is very well kept and stores, although touristic, are inspiring. Don't expect typical village prices, everything is slightly more expensive here in comparison in Rio, but well worth it. Whether you are into beaches, hiking, socializing or coffee culture, this...
