This former biology teacher filled us in with fun anecdotes-loved the one about the giant sleeping snake... More

The environment is so rich and varied. We chartered a small boat and the captain took us to beaches where we swam, snorkeled, or dined. We saw monkeys, a turtle and lots of tropical fish. More

Explore Paraty bay on Barco Latitude with Captian André who speaks great English and makes a perfect Caipirinha cocktail. Five of us rented the boat with two comfy lounges for the day (from 10-4) for a very fair rate and enjoyed the tropical green mountains melting into the shoreline and swimming in the warm turquoise water. A couple of the crew spoke limited english and that was helpful with the P.A. announcements. It cost 40 reals each, lunch was extra as were drinks but fruit,... More

Paraty has a couple of beaches, one in town and another slightly further to the West. One of the main attraction options is to take a schooner trip to the islands and beaches in the Bay. We chose Banzay from among numerous and were not disappointed. The Captain did an admirable job taking us to several reefs for snorkeling (good... More

It is easy to take a boat ride along the Baia in Paraty. The habor with many "Saveiros" are docked downtown and from there one can just by a ticket for the days ride which takes to several beaches with a stop for lunch in one of the islands More

Beautiful town. Beach nearby are beautiful like Trindade. A little crowded (wkd) but worth the visit. In Paraty Hiostorical part only walk with shoes. Girls don't bring hills. Great gastronomic place. If you like food and wines u cant go wrong. More
