We came here after being very disappointed by Prainha. We found this beach to be cleaner and more suitable for kids because of the shallow water and lack of waves. A quiet, surf-free fishing village. Lots of nothing to do! Lovely beachfront cafe during the day. Excellent ceviche and cold beer!

the beach is small and quiet and it's in a pretty fishing village. the highlight of the beach is definitely the bar/restaurant SOL DA TERRA (bar da dione). we were in paraty for 5 days and went there our 2nd night and knew that we didn't need to try anything else. We came by car and first impression was not so good, a pretty but poor fishing village, but further over are trees and greenery and a pretty bay and beach with coulorful fishing boots all over.
