This was the best hike that I have been on in Brazil. The team at Paraty Explorer were very considerate and knowlegable about the area. Porta Negra was an amazing place to visit. It was perfect to get out of São Paulo into the remote village. Although the rain stopped us from doing the last hike, it was still a... More

We opted for a half day sea kayak with Michael and Rodrigo; it was probably one of the highlights of my trip to Brazil; it gave you some absolutely stunning views of the bay around Jabaquara beach and you also gained a lot of local knowledge about the wildlife and some of the history of Paraty too. These guys take... More

Had an excellent time. Peter our tour guide was super nice and helpful, and the trip itself was well-planned and definitely worth doing. If you're in Paraty, would definitely recommend getting out a bit further with these guys. The beach, waterfall, small fishing village, and natural infinity pool were super cool. A definite highlight during my two weeks in Brazil.

Spent a week kayaking down the coast from Paraty with Paraty Explorer. The scenery is heartbreakingly beautiful. The team at Paraty Explorer, Michael, Rodrigo and Harry are proficient, professional and polite. Accommodations are very good, considering the remote locations, and the food is fantastic.

We went on the half day kayaking trip and it was a lot of fun. We got to see parts of the bay that we could not have seen, had we not been on a kayak. Michael and one of his guides were very accomodating during the trip. They gave us water, snacks, and tailored the trip so that every... More

I did the 1/2 day sea kayak tour and the Mamangua Sugarloaf Peak hike with Paraty Explorer and both were really enjoyable! Michael was super responsive and helpful and made it easy to plan from New York! We had a great day out with him. Gabriel was awesome, too! We really, really enjoyed our day hiking Mamangua with Gabriel! I... More

Me and my son booked an afternoon kayaking and had a really fantastic time. Ramon was a terrific guide and took us out across the bay, explaining all about the history of the town and the region. It was fascinating afternoon and we almost forgot that we were working hard to paddle across the bay! As we turned for home... More

We had a great time on this excursion with Paraty Explorer! The group was small enough that there was a lot of interaction and the locations we stopped at were beautiful! We kayaked by small islands, stopped by a secluded beach, checked out a local festival, and maneuvered through some mangroves. Michael and his partners were very knowledgeable about the... More

Joined up with Gabriel for a hike to Mamangua Sugarloaf Peak... Gabriel was knowledgeable about the area and was able to provide many details along the hike.. The hike took about 50 mins and the view up there was breathtaking... Definitely worth the visit... The great meal at the bottom topped it off perfectly... Many thanks to Paraty Explorer for... More

Paraty is a charming historic town in a fantastic natural setting. The 1/2 day kayaking trip was a wonderful way to experience some of this incredible landscape, and a highlight of our time in Brazil! Michael, a Brit who has spent considerable time in the area, is more than just a knowledgable guide - he's a lot of fun, with... More
