We did standup paddle boarding and kayaking with Paraty Explorer while we were in Paraty. Both activities were great even for a novice like me. I especially enjoyed the mangroves and paddling thru the bays. After you are finished, get a beach massage by Joey. It was the best massage I've ever had and I get one at least once... More

Always wanted to go the brazilian tropical fjord, Saco do Mamanguá close to Paraty. This place is magical, and specially the hiking Paraty Explorer offers to Mamanguá Peak, is really worth it. First a public bus ride from Paraty to the small village of Paraty Mirim and then a nice boat ride to the Saco do Mamanguá for the hike.... More

There were only four of us. Me and my wife in one boat and a lady and Russo, our guide, in the other boat! We left at 9 am at perfect conditions, warm but shady, low tide and no wind. We did almost 4 hours of kayaking visiting some private islands and deserted beaches. Unfortunately we couldn't make to the... More

Great kayak tour with Michael, in spite of the rainy weather. Friendly, professional, and adapting to the situation. Great way to explore Paraty in a relaxing way!

The half-day kayak trip was awesome. We got tips on how to kayak, we kayaked for a perfect amount of time and stopes in two really nice locations. And also, we really appreciated that they could take us out the next day even though we contacted them late the previous day.

My wife and I did the half day kayak tour with Michael - the half rather than full day being an excellent suggestion from Michael as we were pretty much first time kayakers. The day was gloomy with occasional showers, but it was welcome relief in the heat. The trip took in a few island visits, a tour past a... More

I came to Paraty for a weekend getaway from Sao Paulo during a work trip. Before arriving, I spoke with Michael from Paraty Explorer and he provided several great tour options for my short visit. He took the time to modify the standard tours to fit my schedule and preferences. His pricing was reasonable and he answered all my questions... More

Our 3-day adventure began with an introduction to the history of Paraty from Harry which was fascinating, funny and very detailed - and set the scene for our adventures. This was followed by dinner with Michael who briefed us on what lay ahead over the next 3 days. Our trip out from Paraty to Saco do Mamangua in a double... More

Our whole group really enjoyed our trip. Sea Kayaking offers a great way to see some parts of the coast that motor boats will not venture too. It was especially nice to see the mangroves and our guide was very helpful and gave us lots of interesting history about the area.
