The water was clear and there were fish to see so it was good for snorkelling and swimming. No facilities like bars or toilets so it really is just a pitstop.

A stunning beach on the atlantic side of the island. Inside the protected national park only camping is allowed in certain spots on the beach - the rest is unspoilt. Just a gorgeous setting - white sand beaches for miles. Lots of young(-ish) hipster crowds stay in the camp sites. They have a great time with rasta music etc. Seems... More

Nice remote beach. Hard to reach (by boat), but lovely. Famous for "fallen"the palm tree. Could do very nice walk from and to this beach.

very clean and very different beaches but it is difficult or expensive to get there. You can get there by renting boat-taxi but you will pay 140 R$ one way. By walk - 2-3 h minimum. My recommendation to have a tour.

The water quality in Rio is variable - it's great to have this gem of an island closeby to escape to, away from the tourist masses in Rio. This was my favourite beach on the island

It's a very beautiful place, this beach has a very clear water, and it's part of Ilha Grande national park, so it has a control how many peoples can stay there, so it's never very crowded, and it's perfect. This place don't have any hotel, hostel structure, only camping. So adventurers beach is only to adventurers

Remote and beautiful. This beach has the most unique palm tree (with a 90 degree angle) I have ever seen. Makes for a fantastic postcard. The water is calm and clear and you can go out a very long way and it is still shallow (great for kids). There were beautiful crabs and a small food stand. Plan to stay... More
