The water quality in Rio is variable - it's great to have this gem of an island closeby to escape to, away from the tourist masses in Rio. This was my favourite beach on the island

It's a very beautiful place, this beach has a very clear water, and it's part of Ilha Grande national park, so it has a control how many peoples can stay there, so it's never very crowded, and it's perfect. This place don't have any hotel, hostel structure, only camping. So adventurers beach is only to adventurers

We stopped here for a little over an hour with the island tour by fast boat and it was one of the nicest beaches of the Island. Many people come here to camp, I can understand why, the long beach, coconut trees and warm waters really made the highlight of the tour. Shame no services were offered here, we were... More

Praia do Aventureiro was the highlight of our honeymoon in Brazil. We hired a boat for a daytrip there from our villa on Praia Vermelha. This is a very long, jawdroppingly beautiful white-sand beach on the south side of the island. Because it is so remote, you'll have the beach almost all to yourself. It's great for suntanning, relaxing with... More
