Great beach for families!

Calm waters and many food stands nearby. Parking was always available even in the busiest days. We loved it!

Very nice beach with a lot of beach-beds for free. If you go in September-October you may see turtles. We went in June, so we did not see any but loved the beach. I can truly say that Tartaruga is better than Jao Fernandes which is said to be the best in Buzios.

Went in the off season. It was cloudy and lots of bugs. A few bars at the beach. They will ask you if u want a free chair but it's not free bc u have to buy a drink. Very accessible by taxi.

It is a small beach, it is pretty but it is full of umbrellas for lease and since there is no much space between the sand and sea the umbrellas occupy a lot of space and there is no much left for the ones that like to lay in the sand and take some sun.

This beach is a great place to stay in the run-up to the Brazilian high season (from after Christmas) it's relaxed and with some nice privately exploited beach terraces. In winter (our summer) it's empty and although just as beautiful, not really the best beach in that season.

This beach is nice because it is surrounded by vegetation, with little construction - just one restaurant and a few basic beach bars. Parking can be difficult on busy days. Careful with the beach bars: this was the only place, in Búzios, where I ever felt being ripped off (poor service followed by overcharging).

The Tartaruga beach is beautiful place, it have restaurant and bar to drink, but don't have toilet. The sea is hot then another beach around. Have a good time there.

Great beach for snorkeling. The water is very beautiful and has several choirs. Rent dive or a board to do the "stand up". The price compared to other beaches is much cheaper. The beach is a bit tucked away, you can stop in a parking lot or on the street close to the beach.

SUMMARY - Go to the west side of the beach for the best experience. - Stunningly warm water - Beautiful view - Hidden charges on the deck chairs (see below) - Music by deck chairs is annoying REVIEW Unless you prefer a noisy, tourist-focused vibe, the west side of the beach is by far the best part. There are definitely much nicer beaches in Buzios. This one was very rocky and I couldn't walk into the water without hurting my feet! The water wasn't very clear and compared to the other beaches, the service was not very good either.
