Best beach ever... Lovely, with good restaurants and hotels... Perfect for families with small kids... Food a little bit expensive

What a great spot at the top end of Buzios. Nice for snorkelling and just hanging out with friends/family.

Joao Fernandes is a nice and not so crowded beach, with good swimming possibilities and good for snorkeling. The water is quiet so not suitable for surfing (you need to go to the other part of the peninsula for that). A couple of places rent chairs, umbrellas and canoes. If you rent a chair, you are expected to order a... More

as it name says it is a bigger version of Fernandinho Beach, and all that it consecuences, a very public nice beach with light sand and blue sea...some houses, more bars, restaurants and a lot of people offering something to drink, to eat, to seat, to tatoo, or to play oversea and underit, you have paddleboards and snorkel rentals. My friend had recommended this beach to me and when we got there (after visiting several other beaches), I realized that indeed, this one was the best! Make sure to go early so you can get umbrellas and chairs :)

I like this beach specially because the water was quite warm and without any waves so you could actually stay for hours just floating in the water. As in the rest of the beaches from the area, the water is also very clean and you can perfectly see through it.

Too overcrowded and no facility to shower, nearby restaurants are dreadful with very poor hygiene and the usual overpriced food. Give me the West Indies anytime

João Fernandes is a crowded yet unbeliveable beach. The trick is to get there a little earlier than the crowd (about 10-11 AM should do) and secure a little beach space for you. The beach has no waves and normally has great sea temperature (but not always). I think it's the best in Búzios. You can do great snorkelling in... More
