My friend had recommended this beach to me and when we got there (after visiting several other beaches), I realized that indeed, this one was the best! Make sure to go early so you can get umbrellas and chairs :)

I like this beach specially because the water was quite warm and without any waves so you could actually stay for hours just floating in the water. As in the rest of the beaches from the area, the water is also very clean and you can perfectly see through it.

Too overcrowded and no facility to shower, nearby restaurants are dreadful with very poor hygiene and the usual overpriced food. Give me the West Indies anytime

João Fernandes is a crowded yet unbeliveable beach. The trick is to get there a little earlier than the crowd (about 10-11 AM should do) and secure a little beach space for you. The beach has no waves and normally has great sea temperature (but not always). I think it's the best in Búzios. You can do great snorkelling in... More

The scenario is great but almost no sand and full of people. I recommend other beaches in Buzios with less people.

We always ended up in the last bar at the end of the beach. They have a great dish with sea fruit. You can also do a swim to the beach on the other side of the rock.

Very nice and relaxing like the other one and smaller João Fernandinho. Good options for some good drinks and fingerfoods and easy to walk along.

Cannot remeber the name of the restaurant where we sat down, but it has a little kitchen and bar, the bar is attended by an Uruguayan guy, all very friendly, the food was great, the service excellent, it was not crowded, to my surprise the beach has this huge stones inside, watch out if you decide to dive. walking distance...
