I loved it so much that I went back there twice even though I wanted to explore other beaches as well. This beach is on the bay so it's quiet and I loved that there were no waves! The water was sparkling and having cafes and restaurants at the end of the beach was great for those spending most of... More

Ten minutes or less walk, parking is available, several restaurants and beach equipment rental vendors.

Ferradura was my favorite beach in Buzios. Calm and quiet with just the most peaceful view of the bay and turquoise water. The sand was white and powdery. Super easy to rent an umbrella and beach chairs, and there several unobtrusive vendors selling snacks and drinks. The only downside was that the water was super cold and the wind picked... More

Okay, blown away by the seclusion of this beach. We rented chairs for a nominal fee, had some corn on the cob from a vendor, bought a beer and hunkered down on the beach. Water was clear, chilly and salty. Sand was soft and blonde. We opted for the beach area that wasn't as crowded in exchange for a wind... More

Nice beach, with calm and quiet waters and plenty of bars and restaurants to eat and drink from with a good and fast service.

The scenery was beautiful, but the water was calm and you could only see a little snippet of the ocean. The beach was pretty crowded, so it was great for people-watching, but it's not really what I think of for waves, ocean views, etc. If your time is limited in Buzios, I would probably skip this one unless you have... We came to Ferradura every day while we were in Buzios (14 days). Part of the reason was that we were 350m walking distance from it - but mainly it was because everyone on the beach was so friendly and it had everything we wanted. There were chairs and umbrellas to rent if you wanted to be out of the... More

This horse-shoe shaped beach is perfect for little kids, but I did not enjoy it as much because there were no waves. If you sit where the restaurants are, you don't even see the horizon (the beach feels like a lake surrounded by mountains). Having visited the Tartaruga and João Fernandes beach earlier, this one was a bit of a... More

We wanted to find a nice beach to relax on and this was perfect! You can either walk there (20 mins) or you can get a cab for about 15 to 20 Reais. There are few restaurants that are decently priced and people are selling anything along the beach from kangas to freshly caught oysters. This is a very cool,... More

My sister and I were looking for a beach in Buzios which allowed us to sit in peace without constantly being hounded by people trying to rent chairs and sell souvenirs. Ferradura was our favourite; quiet enough to lounge on the sand in peace, but lively enough to walk a few metres to a stall selling freshly cooked sweetcorn. The... More
