If you have money and can afford a beautiful house in Buzios, probably you will buy a mansion at Ferradura Beach. Surrounded by Hills with beautiful boutique hotels and amazing houses is a tranquilly place to swim with kids and practice water sports. But, some part of the year the water gets a little cold since this side of the... More

Horseshoe shape beach that gives its name from, it is an excellent place for SUP since there is no waves and not so much water traffic (only in the weekend you have the annoying banana boats). Good for a walk when the tide is low.

It is so beautiful. As it is like a bay, the waters are very calm, great if you have kids. Many bars/Restaurants on the beach front. I had a great time there. A must see!!

We had a really relaxing morning. Small waves, clean sand and water. You can do Stand up paddling. Perfect for small children. Good Caipirinhas.

Not as good as other beaches on the Penninsula in our opinion. The horseshoe shape at first glance looks inviting but it does not deliver. Characterless would sum it up.

One of the best I've been to. The water is cool and refreshing, the sand is warm, with and nice to stay. There are lots of cool minded people and a few bars to choose from. Really recommend it!

Very child friendly beach as the water was incredibly calm. Not very wide so can't say it was particularly special. Worth a visit if staying near by.

Ferradura Beach (meaning Horse Shoe Beach) is a beautyful and quiet place to visit. Due to its 'U' shape the sea is really calm, and ther's no risk of beeing catch by a wave. This same shape is responsible for its cold water, though. And I mean freezing cold considering Brazilian standards. It's northern portion has a bit more structure... More

This is a beautiful beach as well, for snorkelling and doing some kayak/paddle too. It has very calm waters, it is also spacious, you can play some sports and also relax. Definitely a good beach.
