A good stop of a boat trip

We visited this island during our stay in Angra. We had a boat trip and snorked around the island about a hour. Attention, there is no beach there.

This is not a beach but scenic swimming and snorkeling off of a boat around very scenic islands. You can hire boats or join a group on a schooner to take you there. The water in summer is quite warm and it's a very enjoyable few hours. The snorkeling is decent, not great, but bathe scenery makes up for it.

A good place to swim, though there is no beach. You must go with a boat and you swim around. It´s in your way to Gipoia so you can visit both places the same day.

We rented a small boat, my husband, my 12yo son and I, with fisherman in downtotwn Angra. The guy was very nice and took us around for about 5 hours. We snorkeled in Botinas Island, lots of small fish the yellow and black striped ones, some colorful ones. The water was clear enough....overall it was a very enjoyable day!

This pace is in the middle of the ocean and has millions of fishes. You can see many types of fishes and ocean life just using your snorkeling gear. The water is very shalow and the ocean was pretty calm while we were there, so it is really cool even for beginners to explore it. Strongly recommended stop for your... More

Duas pequenas ilhas maravilhosas. O nome bonitas vem de sua forma que lembra pequenas botas. As ilhas são rochosas e excelente para mergulho com snorkel. A água é cristalina e existe uma farta vida marinha. Two small and wonderful islands. The name "boots" comes from its boot-shaped. The little rocky islands are great places for snorkeling. The water is crystal... More

You can visit these two small islands taking one of the many cruises available, or you can rent a boat for your group (it goes for about $US 40/hour). In any case bring your snorkeling equipement (the boats rent for you if you don't have one). Great snorkeling waters.

Two small islands shaped as boots (hence the name), perfect for snorkeling.
