I've been here many times and the scenery is breathtaking. The tropical fish are are swimming in the shallow water and get caught by the reefs so you basically hang out with them. Water is warm and you never want to come out. To me it's one of the most beautiful beaches in the Northeast area of Brazil.

It's one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil It's loacted in the Northeast area of the country. Water is wonderful and hot whereas in the South is colder. You need to look for low tide so you can see the fish near the shore after taking a "jangada" a sort of a boat that will take you to natural... More

I'm not a beach person, but this was a nice beach as far as beaches go. If you go earlier in the morning when the tide is low you can see schools of fishes in the shallow water without snorkeling.

A beautiful beach to visit with plenty to do. The obvious attraction is a hour long guided "jungada" boat tour to the reef and tide pools. Fee is purchased at the ticket booth next to the beach at $20 Real/person. Check with locals on time of low tide and visit the reef near that time. This will ensure you see... More

This has been my favorite beach for years. The water is clear, the marine life can be seen even a few feet deep, there are natural pools where the reef creates an oasis for the fish . There are small sailboat tours to see them closely, really fun to do. Food and drinks are served at the beach, chairs are... More

This is a great beach! It's huge, clean, the sand's soft, and the waves are great for beginning surfers and bodyboarders. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for about R$ 20. There are a lot of vendors walking along the beach which can be annoying but they also sell delicious things like fried cheese (queijo coalho). Hopefully you'll get to... More

If this is indeed the beach where the "natural pools" are located, it is gorgeous! The barrier reef keeps the ocean water from creating waves that crash down on the sand so the water is warm, clear and calm. Plus, the surrounding area is nothing but soft sand and palms trees. We were lucky to visit on a morning when... More

This was a pleasant day trip to one of the nieces beaches I've seen in Brazil. They have good restaurants around, the beach was clean and the water clear and warm and the overall vibe is kinda relaxed and hippie.

Great, food, the beach was amazing for a lazy afternoon having freshly-made piña coladas sitting in the sand. Lots of local restaurants, which offer fantastic food.

Loved this spot! Very clear waters with lots of marine life and relatively white sands. Not as many tourists as Ipanema or Copacabana too. Keep a look out for the jangada's (canoes) that take tourists out to the tidal pools for around R$20. For public transport, take the Cruzeiro bus from the Terminal Cais de Santa Rita in the Recife...
