Natural pools are a must to visit! When the tide is low you can swim with and feed the fish... priceless

We came here to do some snorkeling. There a loads of people bugging you and trying to sell stuff. Not the greatest place to relax. Even trying to go snorkeling was pretty hectic.

The beach in the village is very much overrated. It is crowded and somewhat dirty. The greatly advertised coral reefs are suffering from excessive visits by boats and people. Snorkling there will be pleasant for first-timers, as there are lots of fishes and some corals to see, but if you are used to diving elsewhere you will get bored quickly... More

As they say a bad day at the beach is better than a good day the the office. I've been to a lot of beaches in my time I would rate this one as one of the best I've been too. You can rent a umbrella and couple of chairs and just sit a relax and jump in and out... More

The beach, the village, and the urban occupation have to be reviewed to become more attractive to the tourism activities.

We took a day trip here and loved it. The beach is beautiful and the atmosphere is awesome. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the beach. We had a lovely time. Do note that the beach can be a little crowded.

The beach is beautiful, but pretty busy. I would not waste time going snokeling in the coral reef pools. It is quite the process. You have to line up to get a bracellet and then wait until you are taken out in a big group. The guides do not speak English so it is difficult to understand what they are... More

It’s a beautiful place, no doubt, beach is great and the other local attractions like the natural swimming pools are beautiful too. But this felt like Brazil’s answer to a Thomas cook holiday. So if you’ve bothered to fly all the way to Brazil go somewhere less one dimensional.

This town is an hour away from Recife. If you come by plane you can take a local bus from the airport to Porto de Galinhas. Be sure to visit the beach before 11:00 because the you can see the reef/natural pools. There are also beach chairs where you can sit for free as long as you order food (fresh... More
