The beach is wonderful. The reefs form natural pools where you can enjoy ( be sure to visit with the right tide, other wise no natural pools) seeing the fishes and bathing as well. Try to visit during the week, because sat/sundays it gets crowded.

The beach is beautiful, with clear sand, but is dangerous to swim. We have to pay lot of attention with kids.

Be careful, the stretch where the hotels are situated is unfit for swimming! So you walk for 2 km or take tours. Definitively there are better places in Brazil and for the prices they charge I actually would say: take the trip abroad for better infrastructure and more reasonable prices.

If you go to Maragogi it is worth to stretch it north and visit the pedestrian center of Porto Galinhas and if you have 2 hours to take the buggy tour to see 4 beaches in the area. Instead it is not worth to get in the crowd of the beach by the town. The food at the restaurant behind... More

I am used to go to the beaches in Ceara, and I went to this one when I traveled to Recife and I have to say there is more name and fame than the reality shows. The beach is really very beautiful with long sand, but you dont have a place to stay at all because the chairs is really... More

We enjoyed our stay in Porto de Galinhas a lot. Prices were affordable comparing with other places in Brazil. There was a lot of handicraft to buy presents for the family. The beach gets really small when the tide is high and crowded but it was so cool to simply sit, chill and get people to bring us drinks :)... More

Obviously, if you go there when the tide is high, it’s a pretty normal beach, like millions of others, but ‎when the tide is low, (make sure to check the times before venturing out there) the stunning natural ‎pools are a sight out of this world, all the superlatives plus plus plus, defo one of the highlights of ‎brazil, a... Consider the tide, the lower the better. If in high season/week-end the prices are too expensive for what it gives you back. Too many "vendors" who bothers us, just be aware about it, don't give up to go there just because of it. If you are in Recife and don't have time or money to spend there, try to go... More

One of a kind, take a trip on a jangada to the natural pools; they are all locals organized by an association to bring you there and back, super cool for adults and kids alike. Be sure to bring sandals. At the beach, vendors will canvass to get you a good seating area at the beach and serve food and... More

Porto de Galinhas is a nice beach, good for children, with the great attraction of the natural pools on the reef. An experience that you shouldn't miss.
